I rarely post here, but I am perplexed as to why this platform is not being utilized daily. I recognize that not every situation can be controlled, and unfortunate events can occur without warning or justification. However, it appears to me that, given the frequency of shootings at elevated levels over the years, a tool to monitor rooftops during large events could be beneficial. Perhaps something akin to a drone or a live camera feed monitored by a dedicated individual? In recent years, a drone could have potentially identified rooftop shooters well in advance, and I acknowledge that unforeseen circumstances can arise, but rooftops seem to be a recurring concern. There are drones available with extended flight capabilities. Drones should be integrated into all emergency response operations. Despite their versatility, drones are underutilized. Why are we not leveraging the tools at our disposal? Even in situations like a standoff at a residence, a drone could be deployed through a small window to capture useful images of the layout or locate the individual. Additionally, drones could be used to release tear gas or other agents, allowing the device to fulfill its purpose. They are also equipped with lighting, loudspeakers, and the ability to drop objects.
