🐝👑 The Future of Beekeeping Is Sitting in the Front Row 👑🐝

One of our favorite moments from last night’s meeting wasn’t on the presentation screen—it was watching the next generation of beekeepers taking it all in.

As 2026 Wisconsin Honey Queen Emily Skala shared her journey, we couldn’t help but notice a young beekeeper in the front row listening intently. Maybe she was simply enjoying the presentation. Or maybe she was imagining herself one day wearing that crown, representing Wisconsin beekeepers, and inspiring others just as Emily does today. ❤️

That’s what makes organizations like BCBA special. We aren’t just teaching beekeeping—we’re building a community where knowledge, mentorship, and passion are passed from one generation to the next.

A huge thank you to Emily for sharing her story and serving as such a wonderful ambassador for Wisconsin beekeeping. And to all of our youth beekeepers: keep asking questions, keep learning, and keep dreaming big. The future of beekeeping is bright. 🍯🐝

Don’t guess – test! 🔍

Regular testing for Varroa mite levels is one of the most important things beekeepers can do to protect their colony health.

These small parasites weaken honey bees, spread viruses, and quickly overwhelm a colony if left unmanaged. Early detection can help inform management decisions before colonies become too stressed. 😰🐝

🍯🏆 Could YOU Pick the Best Honey?

One of the sweetest parts of Summer Meeting is the Black Jar Honey Tasting Contest!

Taste honey samples and see if your palate can identify standout flavors and characteristics—all without seeing the honey beforehand.

It’s fun, educational, and always a crowd favorite!
