Today is extra special—it has officially been one whole year since I painted my very first banner, which basically makes this She’s Painting Again’s banner birthday! 🥹🎉 Keep reading because I have a little anniversary surprise waiting for you at the end 👀

Now that we’re also getting close to 400 followers here on Facebook, I think it’s the perfect time to reintroduce myself!

I’m Heather—the artist and owner behind She’s Painting Again. 💕 Before this chapter, I was a daycare teacher and then an office worker. I’m grateful for everything those jobs taught me, but eventually I realized that I wanted to create a life that felt more like mine—one where I could work with my hands, be creative, and make things that bring people happiness.

More recently, I took another huge leap and entered the professional painting trade! Now I spend my days painting at work and my evenings painting banners at home. Somehow, being covered in paint nearly 24/7 has become my actual life—and honestly, it’s a dream come true. 🥹🎨

Every order, follow, share, recommendation, and kind comment has helped me build this little business. I’m so excited to keep creating, growing, and painting with the Quad Cities—one banner at a time.

✨ What are grommets? ✨

I get asked this a lot! Grommets are the small metal rings added to the corners of your banner.
They reinforce the holes and make it easier to hang with string, hooks, zip ties, or tacks—without tearing the paper!

Grommets are completely optional, though!
Many customers hang their banners using tape, clips, or Command strips instead—especially for indoor or one-time events. It’s totally based on how and where you plan to display it! 🎨💛

The last first day of nursing school! 🩺🤍

I painted this sign for Eddie and asked him to get a few pictures… so naturally, he turned it into a full-class photoshoot 😂🥹

The Black Hawk College 4th-semester nursing students are officially in their FINAL stretch!

Heres my take on senior jeans 🍓🎓✨

From plain denim to a berry sweet senior year 💕 Every strawberry, sparkle, bow, and tiny detail was painted completely by hand—and I’m SO proud of how my first pair turned out 😭

Class of 2027, but make it Strawberry Shortcake 🍰🍓
