Since 1973, Bear Pond Books has been a cornerstone of downtown Montpelier. We were incredibly honored when they asked us to design their brand refresh.

Since this local business has such a deep connection with the community, it was important to honor the brand history and pay homage to its origins. The brand evolution is simple, yet professional and versatile, while inspiring a sense of fun and wonder.

Books are often windows, offering views of worlds real or imagined, familiar or strange. The asymmetrical window icon welcomes you in closer and encourages you to “discover something wonderful”.

This mood board was created for Bear Pond Books. It represents the relaxed, fun and inviting nature of the book store. The navy speaks to the reliable and professional side while the parchment represents the lively, yet approachable side of the brand. The verdigris and amethyst inspire a sense of wonder.

A logo serves as an umbrella for many different brand activities. It’s likely the first thing that someone experiences with your brand or product and should carry the right blend of originality, functionality and design aesthetic.

This logo was inspired by ocean waves shifting the soul of life. The upper spiral creates the shape of a moon snail shell, which symbolizes the journey a soul takes inward to find its true alignment.

The moon snail is personal to Anjali and has been a guiding symbol for her personally. The waves represent her deep connection to the ocean and one of her favorite places, Cape Cod.

We were thrilled when Travis & Katie asked us to work on the invitations for their beautiful wedding weekend at Mountain Meadows Lodge in Killington, Vermont. They wanted to make sure that the invitations would be a useful resource for their guests, so we created an informational insert that included a custom illustrated map and wedding timeline. The map incorporated all of the wedding event locations, local hiking trails, and lodging options; while also providing suggestions for places to explore in the area, along with a timeline for when the events would be happening. Including an insert along with your invitations can help minimize guest questions and create a more fluid and memorable experience for your guests.
