This photo tells three different stories.

The smile.
The silliness.
The straight face.

And somehow, that feels a lot like life.

I didn’t fully know what I wanted this image to say when we took it. I just had this feeling in my chest… this vision I couldn’t quite put into words yet. So shoutout to my sweet friend Kristie for trusting me enough to help bring it to life. 🩵

But the second I sat down to edit this photo, it all clicked together perfectly like pieces of a puzzle finally finding where they belonged.

Because behind every expression is something deeper.

The loudest laughter can hide exhaustion.
The straight face can hide pain.
The happiest people are sometimes carrying the heaviest things.

And that’s why kindness matters so much.

To children.
To strangers.
To the tired mom in the grocery store.
To the friend who says they’re “fine.”
To the person sitting alone.
To every single person fighting battles we cannot see.

Life is already hard enough.

Be softer with people.
Give the smile.
Lend the ear.
Offer grace first.
Do the extra step.

There is enough cruelty in this world already. Let people leave your presence feeling lighter, safer, and loved.

I am officially a preferred photographer for 36th Square — and this space is next level.

Think glowing tea lights outdoors, moody low-light interiors, and a bold Marilyn Monroe art installation that makes the entire building feel like a set straight out of a film.

This senior class is bringing the most magical energy ✨🌿
