What I do when I feel ✨creative block✨

Ahh yes. The dreaded creative block. What is there to do when you just can’t seem to find the creativity to simply CREATE!? Thankfully I’ve found my top 3 ways of finding my way back to my inner self.

1️⃣ Planty things - fun fact- soil contains the bacteria Mycobacterium vaccae that is absorbed through the skin of the fingers and palms when gardening, triggering a release of serotonin in the brain: the ‘happy hormone’, serotonin is a natural antidepressant and mood lifter; it also strengthens the immune system. So go get a house plant, friends!

2️⃣Thrifting - something you may not know about me is I love to thrift and antique shop. Almost every item in my home is authentically vintage from the 1960’s - 1970’s and I thrive on a good thrift haul!

3️⃣ PLAY! - this may be a given, but sometimes you just have to let go and get silly with a 3-year-old to really get your spark back. taking time away to reset is sometimes all you need!
