Logo work ain't really booming for me right now. So I've been devoting a lot of my time to a side project that I really ain't had time to work on at all.
The posts I make for the next little while are all studies and ideas for the aforementioned project.

Thought I'd post some stuff for the new project I'm working on. Logo work is very slow right now, so I find myself putting a lot of effort into this idea that i have. I have a good feeling about it. And ladies and gentlemen, as concerning hope, my cup runneth over 🙏

My, uh... I reckon she would be my, great-aunt? Not sure. Anyway, she used to live with us in her later years. She wasn't all the way there, ya know, and needed us to take care of her. But, she would set in her room for hours on hours drawing. A tiny pencil, a knife for sharpening, and a torn matchbook for a straight edge. There's dozens of drawings here, most of them on the front and the back. A lot of them are real places from her past, drawn from memory. She was... a very simple woman, didn't talk much, didn't have much to say I guess. But she would sit quietly in her chair drawing and smoking ci******es, content as she could be.

I'm thinking about doing a collab with one of her pieces. There is a couple she didn't finish, I could finish it in my own style and have a sort of side by side gimmick. Or I can draw, with ink, over the top of one of hers. Keeping her drawing intact, but adding shading and details on top. Or, I could go over it in ink, and color it with a little watercolor.

What do y'all think? I don't wanna disrespect her work, but it would be cool to do a collab with ol' Vernell. She used to talk to ghosts while she would draw, I think she would love the idea. Maybe she'll even come converse with me... 👻

Logo work is slow lately. I'll blame it on the Holidays. And I caught the urban sketching bug. It's something I've never been good at, but always admired. Decided to make it a challenge, and give it a shot.

Digital download prints of some of my work will be available on my Etsy shop by the first of January 2022. If anyone is interested. I might also decide to sell framed prints as well, and perhaps some originals framed and signed. Here's a few of the prints that'll be available.
