And if you make your way toward the back of the store, you’ll find another local favorite: Little Babe Cave. My permanent jewelry business is proudly located inside Slate’s, making it the perfect destination to shop, sip tea, browse local art, and get linked with a beautiful jewelry all in one visit.

The atmosphere is welcoming, the owners are wonderful, and the entire space feels like the kind of shop every small town dreams of having.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The BEST Nail Experience!

I spent several hours at Luxury Nail Spa today completely pampering myself, and every minute was worth it! I had my old nails removed, old polish taken off my toes, enjoyed a relaxing pedicure, and finished with a beautiful fresh Gel-X full set.

This was my first visit, and I can honestly say I was impressed from start to finish. Mireya did my nails, and she absolutely nailed the look I wanted. The attention to detail was incredible, and my nails turned out flawless. The bright red color with the floral accent nails is exactly what I envisioned, and I’ve already received so many compliments!

The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and attentive. Everyone made me feel comfortable and taken care of throughout my appointment. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of work and time spent, and the drinks and snacks were such a nice touch that made the experience feel even more special.

If you’re looking for a salon where you can truly relax, be treated kindly, and leave feeling beautiful, I highly recommend Luxury Nail Spa. This was my first visit, but it definitely won’t be my last!

Memorial Day ❤️🇺🇸

Today we remember and honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country and our freedom. Memorial Day is more than cookouts, long weekends, and sunshine. It’s a day to pause, reflect, and appreciate the lives given so we could enjoy moments with our families, friends, and communities.

As a mom, Memorial Day always hits a little differently. It reminds me how precious time is and how many families carry the weight of loss every single day. To the military families, spouses, children, and loved ones missing someone today, my heart is with you.

At Blair’s Review, I’m so thankful for this small community that continues to support local businesses, local families, and one another. I hope today brings you time with the people you love, gratitude for the freedoms we have, and a moment to remember the heroes who made it possible.

The Greatest Title I’ll Ever Have

There are so many things in life people dream of becoming. Successful. Strong. Accomplished. Admired. But for me, nothing in this world will ever compare to being called “Mom.”

Motherhood changed me in ways I never expected. It softened parts of me, strengthened parts of me, and gave my life a kind of purpose that no career, accomplishment, or title ever could. It’s exhausting and beautiful all at once. Some days are messy. Some days feel impossible. But every single day, it’s worth it.

Watching your child grow is like watching your heart live outside your body. One minute they’re tiny enough to fit in your arms, and the next they’re riding bikes in the driveway, smiling like they’ve already conquered the world. You realize time is moving far too fast while simultaneously trying to soak in every little moment before it becomes a memory.

To my sweet boy, you are my proudest moment. My biggest adventure. My reason to keep going even on the hard days. You have taught me patience, unconditional love, and how important the little moments truly are. Bedtime snuggles. Dirt-covered shoes. Tiny laughs. Pajamas all day. Watching you become your own little person has been the greatest honor of my life.

Motherhood isn’t about perfection. It’s about showing up. Loving hard. Trying again tomorrow. It’s about making memories in ordinary moments and realizing one day those ordinary moments become the ones you miss the most.

This Mother’s Day, I just want to say Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there. To the moms doing their best, the tired moms, the working moms, the stay-at-home moms, the single moms, the grieving moms, the bonus moms, and every woman loving a child with her whole heart… you are seen, appreciated, and deeply loved.

And being your mom will forever be my favorite thing about me. 💙

If you’ve been following along, you already know… my pink checkered rug is basically part of my brand at Little Babe Cave. It goes to all my pop-ups and ties into everything I do.

Well… my last event did not go as planned.

🌧️ The rug disaster

I got stuck outside in the rain for hours, and when I went to pack up… my rug was holding what I can only describe as a literal brown lake. It was heavy, soaked, and honestly… I thought it might be ruined.

So of course, I immediately called Bradley at Timber Ridge Renovations.

🍧 Sunset Slush of Mayberry: Our New Favorite Summer Stop in Mount Airy

There’s just something about those first few really hot days of the year that makes you start craving something cold, sweet, and refreshing… and let me just tell you, we found the spot.

After Presley’s T-ball game (and let’s be honest… after sweating through it 😂), we decided to stop by a newer place right on Highway 89 in Mount Airy… and now we’re officially hooked.

☀️ First Impressions

From the moment you walk in, it just feels happy.
Bright colors, clean space, and such a fun, family-friendly vibe. It’s the kind of place you can tell is going to be a regular stop before you even take your first bite.

And bonus — it’s kid-friendly (which is always a win for me).

🍨 What We Got

Presley went straight for the “Zombie” flavor… which, if you don’t know, is basically all the leftover flavors mixed together.

And honestly? He thought that was the coolest thing ever 😂

I went with Creamsicle, and it was so good. Light, refreshing, and exactly what you want on a hot day without feeling heavy.

• Everything tasted super fresh
• It’s quick and easy (perfect for busy mom life)
• The space is clean and welcoming
• The staff was so sweet
