🍺 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Ramblewood Country Club and Seven Tap-Tavern

🎶 Where Food, Friendship, and Community Come Together

Some places feed people.

Other places feed community.

And some places become part of the story of our lives.

That's one of the reasons I wanted to shine a light on Seven Tap-Tavern at Ramblewood Country Club right here in Mount Laurel.

💙 One of the things I appreciate most about local businesses is the spaces they create for people to gather.

To laugh.

To celebrate.

To share stories.

To watch a game.

To listen to music.

And simply enjoy life together.

And judging by what people say, that's exactly what Seven Tap-Tavern does.

⭐ Guests consistently talk about:

🍔 Good food.

🍺 Great beer selection.

😊 Friendly atmosphere.

🎵 Live music.

📺 Sports and entertainment.

🤝 Great service.

And perhaps most importantly…

A welcoming place to gather with family and friends.

🏈 Seven Tap-Tavern is part of the Ramblewood Country Club family, which is owned by former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Ron Jaworski. In fact, the name "Seven Tap" comes from the number 7 that Ron wore during his distinguished NFL career.

And I love that.

Because behind every great place is a story.

And stories matter.

😊 This spotlight also brings a smile to my face because Ramblewood Country Club has been part of our family's story for many years.

My wife Renee's uncle, Pastor Terrell Person of Jacob's Chapel AME Church, has had a long connection with Ramblewood and the work they have done in our community over the years.

And for our own family, Ramblewood has been a place where memories have been made.

Being just down the road from where we live, we've celebrated several special occasions there over the years.

One that stands out in my mind is my daughter's Sweet 16 celebration.

Like so many families in our community, we've gathered there to celebrate important moments, share meals, laugh together, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

And perhaps that's what places like Ramblewood Country Club and Seven Tap-Tavern do best.

🏡 They're not simply venues.

🍽️ They're gathering places.

🎉 They're celebration places.

❤️ They're memory-making places.

And over time, they become woven into the fabric of a community.

🎶 Looking through their social media and online presence, one thing becomes clear.

Seven Tap-Tavern isn't just active.

It's alive.

Live music.

Special events.

Outdoor spaces.

Fire pits.

Game nights.

And a spirit of hospitality that invites people to slow down and enjoy life.

🥋 As someone who has traveled the world, performed on stages, and spent decades teaching martial arts and serving our community, I've learned something important.

Life is meant to be shared.

And we all need places where we can gather with people we care about.

Places where memories are made.

Places where friendships are strengthened.

Places where community happens.

🏡 Right here in Mount Laurel, Seven Tap-Tavern and Ramblewood Country Club continue to provide that kind of place.

From General Manager Emily Grech and Executive Chef Lizmari Cruz to the servers, bartenders, and staff members who welcome guests every day, there are many people working behind the scenes to create a memorable experience for everyone who walks through the doors.

And judging by the reviews and the reputation they have built, they are doing just that.

As someone who believes people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to recognize everyone who helps make Seven Tap-Tavern and Ramblewood Country Club such a special place.

🙏 Thank you for creating a place where people can come together.

Thank you for helping neighbors become friends.

Thank you for hosting celebrations, gatherings, and milestones.

And thank you for reminding us that some of life's greatest moments happen around a table, with good food and good company.

🍺 Friendship.

🎶 Memories.

💙 Community.

🍨 Sweet Memories in the Heart of Rancocas Woods

There are places that serve ice cream, and then there are places that help create memories.

Nestled in the heart of Rancocas Woods in Mount Laurel, The Woods Ice Cream Shop has become one of those special places where families, friends, and neighbors gather to slow down, connect, and enjoy some of life's sweeter moments.

🍦 Featuring hand-dipped Bassetts Ice Cream, milkshakes, floats, sundaes, and fresh-made waffle cones, The Woods Ice Cream Shop has become a favorite destination for residents throughout Mount Laurel and beyond.

Even better, this charming shop is open year-round, bringing smiles to the community during every season.

💙 One of the things I love most about local businesses is the way they contribute to the personality and spirit of a community.

Places like The Woods Ice Cream Shop give us opportunities to celebrate birthdays, reward a great report card, enjoy a summer evening, or simply spend time with the people we love.

😊 Let's be honest...

There is something magical about ice cream.

Whether it's after dinner with the family, a date night stroll, or a well-earned treat after a long day, ice cream has a way of bringing out the kid in all of us.

🍨 The Woods Ice Cream Shop has embraced that spirit and has become a beloved gathering place for many throughout Burlington County.

🌿 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 The Ramblewood Garden Center

🌷 Growing Beauty, Community, and Memories in Mount Laurel

There are places that sell plants.

And then there are places that help people cultivate beauty, create memories, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life.

Ramblewood Garden Center is one of those places.

🌿 Located on South Church Road, just a few minutes from where Renee and I live in Birchfield, Ramblewood Garden Center has deep roots in Mount Laurel and has been serving our community for decades.

That matters.

Because when a local business stays rooted in a community for that long, it becomes more than a business.

It becomes part of the rhythm of the neighborhood.

💙 From what I was able to find, Ramblewood Garden Center has a long connection to the Coumbe family, including Les and Jean Coumbe, and public records also connect Steven Coumbe to Ramblewood Landscaping at the same South Church Road location.

I always want to be careful and respectful when talking about the history of a local business, especially one that has been part of Mount Laurel for so many years.

What I can say with appreciation is this:

Families like this help shape a community.

They plant roots.

They serve neighbors.

They help people create beauty around their homes.

And over time, their work becomes part of the story of the town.

😊 Growing up in the Mitchell Projects in the South Bronx, I didn't have a yard.

No flower beds.

No gardens.

No trees to care for.

Those things simply weren't part of my childhood.

Years later, after Renee and I moved to Mount Laurel in 1999, purchased our condo, and eventually bought our home, I discovered something many people may take for granted.

The joy of having a yard.

The beauty of flowers.

The peace of sitting outside.

The simple gift of watching something grow.

And over the years, I have come to appreciate how much a beautiful outdoor space can nourish the spirit.

🌷 In many ways, gardening reminds me of martial arts.

Growth takes time.

Patience matters.

The seasons change.

You plant.

You water.

You care.

You wait.

And little by little, something beautiful begins to grow.

🌿 Reading through what people share about Ramblewood Garden Center, one thing stands out.

People appreciate the people.

Customers talk about helpful service, quality plants, knowledgeable guidance, and the kind of personal attention that makes a local garden center feel different from a big box store.

And that is what local business is really about.

Not just products.

People.

Relationships.

Trust.

Care.

🏡 Places like Ramblewood Garden Center help families create spaces where life happens.

Backyards where children play.

Gardens where people slow down.

Porches where coffee tastes a little better.

Flowers that welcome people home.

And outdoor spaces where memories are made.

As someone who believes people and local businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on Ramblewood Garden Center and the people behind it.

🙏 Thank you to the Ramblewood Garden Center team and the family roots behind this longtime Mount Laurel business.

Thank you for helping neighbors create beauty.

Thank you for helping families enjoy their homes.

And thank you for reminding us that growth, whether in a garden or in life, is something to be nurtured, protected, and celebrated.

🌿 Growth.

🌷 Beauty.

💈 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Levelz Barbershop

✂️ More Than Haircuts… Building Confidence and Community

There are places where people go for a haircut.

And then there are places where people leave feeling a little more confident, a little more refreshed, and perhaps even a little more connected.

Levelz Barbershop is one of those places.

😊 I've had the opportunity to stop by several times over the last couple of months while visiting my friends at Angelo's Larchmont Pizzeria, right next door.

Since Levelz Barbershop opened in the shopping center, I've enjoyed seeing the energy they have brought to the neighborhood.

One thing that immediately stands out is the atmosphere.

Good people.

Good conversations.

Good vibes.

And a genuine sense of community.

💙 One of the things I appreciate most about local businesses is that they become gathering places.

Barbershops have always been more than places to get a haircut.

They're places where stories are shared.

Friendships are formed.

Laughs are exchanged.

And where people walk out feeling a little better about themselves.

⭐ Judging by the reviews, that's exactly what people love about Levelz.

Customers consistently talk about:

✂️ Attention to detail.

😊 Friendly conversations.

🔥 Positive energy.

🤝 Professionalism.

💙 A welcoming atmosphere.

And, of course, great haircuts.

One customer simply wrote:

💬 "My barber was great and good vibes."

Another shared something that really caught my attention:

💬 "Good barber! Made me feel handsome again."

I love that.

Because that's what confidence does.

Confidence helps us show up and serve others at our best.

Another customer praised Dip by name for taking the time to listen and getting the haircut exactly right.

And throughout the reviews, one thing becomes clear.

People appreciate being treated well.

People appreciate being listened to.

People appreciate craftsmanship.

And people appreciate relationships.

🏆 With outstanding reviews and a reputation for excellence, Levelz has earned the trust and appreciation of the community.

😊 Thinking about barbershops brings back some wonderful memories for me.

Growing up in the South Bronx, going to the barber was always an experience.

It wasn't just about getting cleaned up.

It was about the conversations.

The laughter.

The camaraderie.

And leaving feeling like a million bucks.

As a performer, martial artist, and teacher, I've always appreciated the confidence that comes from looking your best and presenting yourself with pride.

🥋 Confidence matters.

And sometimes something as simple as a fresh haircut can make a big difference.

And perhaps that's what I appreciate most about places like Levelz.

They're not simply cutting hair.

They're helping people feel confident.

They're helping people put their best foot forward.

And they're creating a place where people can relax, connect, and enjoy being part of the community.

💙 I'd also like to recognize the talented barbers and stylists who make these experiences possible.

People often remember the haircut.

But they also remember the kindness.

The conversations.

The laughter.

And how they were treated.

That's a gift.

🏡 Located right here in Mount Laurel, Levelz Barbershop has become a place where craftsmanship, professionalism, and relationships come together.

As someone who believes people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on this wonderful business and the people behind it.

🙏 Thank you to the entire Levelz team for helping people look their best, feel their best, and leave with a little more confidence.

Because confidence isn't vanity.

Confidence helps us show up and serve others at our best.

🐾 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Mount Laurel Animal Hospital

❤️ More Than 40 Years of Caring for the Pets Who Become Part of Our Families

Anyone who has ever loved a pet understands something important.

Pets aren't just animals.

They're family.

They're companions.

They're faithful friends.

They're the wagging tails that greet us when we come home.

They're the purrs that comfort us.

They're the memories we cherish.

And that's one of the reasons I wanted to shine a light on Mount Laurel Animal Hospital.

💙 For nearly 50 years, Mount Laurel Animal Hospital has been caring for the pets and families of South Jersey.

What began with the vision of Dr. Edward Sleeper has grown into one of the premier veterinary hospitals in the region, serving generations of families and becoming a place people turn to during some of life's happiest—and most difficult—moments.

🐕🐈 One of the things I love most about local businesses and organizations is that they become woven into the fabric of a community.

And few relationships are as special as the bond we share with our pets.

They celebrate with us.

Comfort us.

Walk beside us.

And somehow, without saying a word, they teach us lessons about loyalty, love, and living in the moment.

🙏 Caring for animals is more than medicine.

It is compassion.

It is patience.

It is service.

And often, it means being there when families need hope, answers, or simply someone who understands.

Over the years, Mount Laurel Animal Hospital has grown tremendously.

Today, with more than 50 veterinarians and more than 300 team members, the hospital provides primary care, specialty care, and emergency care around the clock, 365 days a year.

🐾 One of the things many people may not know is that the campus sits on 16 beautiful acres and even includes farm animals, giving visitors an opportunity to experience the joy and wonder of animals in a very special way.

😊 Thinking about pets brought back memories of my mom and her little poodle, Brandy.

Brandy had personality.

And like many poodles, Brandy seemed to believe she was much bigger and more important than she actually was.

Years later, I even shared a few stories about Brandy during my first five-minute comedy open mic night with the Camden Comedy Collective at Angelo's Larchmont Pizzeria.

Let's just say Brandy provided plenty of material.

😂 If you ever knew Brandy, or a dog like Brandy, you know exactly what I mean.

Pets have a remarkable ability to make us laugh, teach us patience, and become unforgettable members of our families.

And perhaps that's what makes places like Mount Laurel Animal Hospital so important.

They're not simply caring for animals.

They're caring for beloved family members and the people who love them.

🏡 Located right here in Mount Laurel, this remarkable organization has become a trusted resource for families throughout South Jersey.

The reviews and stories shared by longtime clients speak volumes about the trust that has been built over decades.

Some families have entrusted multiple generations of pets to the caring hands of the doctors, technicians, and staff.

And that kind of trust is earned.

❤️ One patient.

🐾 One family.

💙 One relationship at a time.

As someone who believes people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to recognize the incredible doctors, technicians, support staff, and leadership team who dedicate their lives to serving animals and the people who love them.

🙏 Thank you for more than four decades of service.

Thank you for the compassion you show.

Thank you for the peace of mind you provide.

And thank you for helping families create more healthy and happy years with the pets they cherish.

🐾 Love.

❤️ Compassion.

💍 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Marks Jewelers

✨ Celebrating Life's Special Moments for Generations

There are some businesses that become part of the story of a community.

Mark's Jewelers is one of those places.

For more than four decades, Mark's Jewelers has been helping families celebrate some of life's most meaningful moments.

💍 Engagements.

💍 Weddings.

🎓 Graduations.

🎂 Birthdays.

🎄 Holidays.

❤️ Anniversaries.

✨ Milestones.

Because jewelry isn't really about jewelry.

It's about memories.

It's about love.

It's about celebrating the people who matter most.

💙 One of the things I appreciate most about local businesses is how they become woven into the fabric of our lives.

Sometimes we don't even realize it.

Years later, we look at a ring, a necklace, a watch, or a bracelet and remember not only the gift, but the person who gave it to us and the occasion that made it special.

😊 Thinking about jewelers brings back some wonderful memories for me.

Nearly 40 years ago, Renee and I chose our wedding bands in New York.

But the story actually started before that.

In 1988, while performing in Japan, Renee bought me a very thin gold band as an engagement ring. It wasn't extravagant, but it was incredibly special because it came from her heart and represented our commitment to one another.

When we eventually got married, I took that band to a jeweler and had it permanently joined to my wedding band.

To this day, I love the uniqueness of that ring.

Every time I look at it, I'm reminded not only of our marriage, but of our adventures, our travels, and the beautiful life we've built together.

⌚ Years later, while living and performing in Germany, I purchased my first TAG Heuer watch.

I remember how special that experience felt.

It wasn't just buying a watch.

It represented years of hard work, dreams realized, and memories made while living overseas.

And perhaps that's what businesses like Mark's Jewelers really provide.

Not jewelry.

Not watches.

Not precious metals.

They help us celebrate moments that become part of our stories.

🏡 Located right here in Mount Laurel, Mark's Jewelers has built a reputation for quality, trust, and service while helping generations of families create memories that last a lifetime.

As someone who believes that people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on this wonderful business and the people behind it.

🙏 Thank you to everyone at Mark's Jewelers for helping families celebrate life's most precious moments.

Thank you for helping create memories that will be treasured for generations.

And thank you for reminding us that the greatest treasures in life are not things.

They are the people we share our lives with.

🥖 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Boaggio’s Bread

🍞 Bringing the Art of Bread and the Spirit of Family to Mount Laurel

There are few things in life that bring people together quite like fresh bread.

The smell.

The warmth.

The memories.

A loaf of bread has a way of making a house feel like a home and a meal feel like a gathering.

And that's one of the many reasons I wanted to shine a light on Boaggio's Bread right here in Mount Laurel.

🥖 Boaggio's Bread has built a reputation for offering handcrafted breads and baked goods that celebrate tradition, quality, and the joy of sharing food with family and friends.

💙 One of the things I appreciate most about local businesses is the passion and craftsmanship that go into what they do.

Behind every loaf is someone who gets up early.

Someone who takes pride in their work.

Someone who understands that they're creating more than food.

They're creating memories.

😊 Bread brings back some very special memories for me.

Growing up in the South Bronx, I lived in the Mitchell Projects, and like many families around us, we didn't have much.

On weekends, I would walk across the street to a bakery warehouse and knock on the back door.

The wonderful people there would give me a bag of bread.

I'll never forget the smell.

Fresh baked bread.

Warm.

Comforting.

Hopeful.

Even as a kid, I knew there was something special about those moments.

It wasn't just bread.

It was kindness.

It was generosity.

It was neighbors helping neighbors.

🥖 Years later, while living in Germany and performing there, I discovered another love.

German bakeries.

To this day, some of my fondest memories are of walking into those bakeries and being surrounded by the incredible aromas and beautiful displays of freshly baked breads and pastries.

No matter where I've traveled in the world, one thing seems to be true.

Bread has a way of bringing people together.

🏡 Located right here in Mount Laurel, Boaggio's Bread has become a favorite stop for many residents who appreciate quality, freshness, and old-world craftsmanship.

And perhaps that's what businesses like Boaggio's Bread do best.

They remind us of simple pleasures.

Of traditions.

Of family.

And of the importance of slowing down and enjoying life's everyday moments.

As someone who believes that people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to celebrate this wonderful business and the people behind it.

🙏 Thank you to everyone at Boaggio's Bread for bringing your passion, your craftsmanship, and your love of baking to our community.

Thank you for helping create moments that bring families and friends together.

And thank you for reminding us that sometimes the simplest things in life are the most meaningful.

🐈 Living Strong Spotlight: 📍 Happy Cat Hotel Mt. Laurel

🐾 Where Cats Can Relax, Be Pampered, and Feel Right at Home

Anyone who has ever loved a cat knows something special.

Cats may be independent, but they are family.

And when our furry family members need a place to stay, we want them to feel safe, comfortable, and cared for.

That's exactly what makes Happy Cat Hotel & Spa in Mount Laurel such a special place.

🐈 Happy Cat Hotel & Spa isn't just a boarding facility.

It's a place designed exclusively for cats.

From cozy accommodations and spacious suites to personalized care and plenty of attention, the team at Happy Cat Hotel & Spa has created an environment where cats can relax while their humans enjoy peace of mind.

💙 One of the things I appreciate most about local businesses is when people build something around their passion and their love for serving others.

In this case, that passion happens to have whiskers and paws.

😊 Cat lovers understand.

Cats have personalities.

They have routines.

They have favorite spots.

And they definitely have opinions.

Providing exceptional care for them requires patience, understanding, and genuine affection.

And that's exactly what makes businesses like Happy Cat Hotel & Spa so important to the families they serve.

🐾 Reading about Happy Cat Hotel & Spa brought back some wonderful memories from my childhood.

My sister Loretta had a cat named Mitzi, and as a kid, I spent many hours playing with her. Around the same time that I began my martial arts journey, I discovered that Mitzi had a playful side and loved to box.

I would dangle something in front of her, and she'd sit back and bat at it with her paws like a tiny boxer.

Sometimes, I'd wiggle my fingers and we'd play together, each of us having fun with our own little version of sparring.

To this day, I smile when I think about those moments.

It's amazing how animals can become part of our memories and part of our stories.

🏡 Located right here in Mount Laurel at 2026 Briggs Rd, Happy Cat Hotel & Spa has become a trusted resource for cat parents throughout our community who want the very best for their beloved companions.

Whether it's a short stay, a vacation, or simply a little extra pampering, this unique business helps families travel with confidence, knowing their cats are receiving loving care and attention.

🐈 There aren't many places dedicated exclusively to cats, which makes Happy Cat Hotel & Spa even more special.

As someone who believes people and businesses deserve to feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated, I wanted to take a moment to shine a light on this wonderful Mount Laurel business and the people behind it.

🙏 Thank you to everyone at Happy Cat Hotel & Spa for caring for some of the most important members of our families.

And thank you for helping make our community a happier place, one purr at a time.

☕️ More Than Coffee... A Place to Pause, Connect, and Build Community

Some places serve coffee.

Some places serve community.

And then there are those rare places that somehow do both.

For me, Take 5 Cafe has become much more than my favorite place to grab a cup of coffee.

Over the last couple of years, it has become one of my favorite places to meet with friends, have conversations, reflect, write, and simply enjoy being part of our Mount Laurel community.

💙 That's one of the things I love most about local businesses.

They become part of the story of our lives.

Located on Route 38 in Mount Laurel, Take 5 Cafe was created by Ira and Bernadette Guttman, two people with decades of experience in the restaurant business and a reputation for treating people like family. Before opening Take 5 Cafe, they owned MoonDog Grill and previously Cool Dog Cafe, beloved destinations throughout South Jersey.

After deciding it was time to step away from the restaurant world, retirement didn't last very long.

Fortunately for all of us, Ira and Bernadette answered the call once again and created something special right here in Mount Laurel.

☕️ Take 5 Cafe offers specialty coffees, teas, smoothies, refreshers, pastries, and an assortment of delicious chocolates, all served in a warm and inviting atmosphere. Indoor and outdoor seating make it a wonderful place to slow down, connect, and enjoy life for a little while.

😊 And perhaps that's what I appreciate most.

In a world that often seems to move too fast, Take 5 Cafe reminds us to...

Take Five.

Slow down.

Sit with a friend.

Read a book.

Write in a journal.

Have an important conversation.

Or simply enjoy a great cup of coffee.

🏡 Ira and Bernadette are not only business owners. They're neighbors. They live in Mount Laurel and have built their cafe with the hope of creating a place where people feel welcome and connected.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of getting to know Ira and Bernadette, and I consider them friends.

I've watched them greet customers with kindness, celebrate regulars, and create an atmosphere where people feel comfortable and appreciated.

And isn't that what community is really about?

Helping people feel seen, heard, valued, and appreciated.

🙏 Thank you, Ira and Bernadette, for creating such a wonderful place for our community.

Thank you for the conversations.

Thank you for the smiles.

Thank you for the coffee.

And thank you for reminding us all to slow down and simply...

☕️ Take Five.
