Shift Dynamics provides camera car, cinema robotics, and video production resources for professional film and commercial projects.

Back in 2019 we worked with founder Kirk Slawek (the guy behind Gear Seven, Arc Studios, and Eleven Willow) and his team to develop the Shift brand from the ground up.

The result was an identity designed to match the scale and ambition of the productions they support.

I was selling myself short.

Back in 2021, I was stuck doing work that didn’t really flex my capabilities. Every project felt like a means to an end.

I was bored and itching to build something fulfilling I actually felt connected to.

So instead of waiting around for a dream client... I became my own 🤷‍♂️

That’s how ST33P was born — a single-serve coffee brand geared toward the mountain biking community.

The vision was to use the brand to help build and maintain world-class bike trails — stuff you’d normally find in a paid bike park, but for free public use.

We even planned to make short films for each trail build and use them as campaigns for the brand. Genius, right? (Unfortunately, it never got that far 😢)

But I learned a TON through this project: developing a physical product, establishing a supply chain, finding the right 3PL, and turning a cold audience into paying customers (this aint easy).

The real lesson in all of this was realizing that, for me, it was never about the product or the profit potential. What made it fulfilling for me was being aligned with what the brand stood for — and using my capabilities to champion that.

About a year in, an outside party acquired majority share of the brand.

Though it changed hands, I’m still proud of what we built.

And I’m excited to do this again... perhaps alongside another entrepreneur next time 👀

Aligned Growth is an influencer management company partnering with some of the most prominent DTC brands in the world. We helped them with their initial launch in 2021, positioning them as a scrappy marketing partner for fast-moving startups.

They’ve since grown to serve well-known 8–9 figure brands and their identity needed to evolve—reflecting both their elevated status and their vision for the future.

Their original identity served them well in the early days, but it no longer reflected the caliber of clients they were attracting. Their positioning needed to shift from scrappy and agile to established and refined, while still communicating the results-driven, hands-on approach that built their reputation.

We created a more sophisticated visual identity to signal their elevated market position. Then, we applied the refreshed identity consistently across the full customer journey. Every touchpoint was designed to reinforce their credibility and influence with the industry’s biggest players.

Aligned Growth now has a brand presence that matches the scale of their clients and the results they deliver. As their partner, we continue to support the brand’s evolution—ensuring every interaction with prospects, clients, and partners reflects their market-leading position.
