The country music icon, who died Aug. 25 at the age of 80, was laid to rest Friday, Aug. 28, during a private service attended only by immediate family, according to her great-niece, Lainey Parton.

A Pastor’s Wife Dies Under Questioned Circumstances—Then Comes a Major Federal Case Update

A new Netflix documentary is shining a light on the tragic and highly questioned death of Mica Miller, the estranged wife of South Carolina pastor JP Miller.

“Death of the Pastor’s Wife” examines Mica’s life, her relationship with JP Miller, and allegations of control and abuse that surfaced before her death.

The documentary also explores the unanswered questions and circumstances surrounding what happened to her.
But the biggest development comes near the end of the series.

JP Miller has since been federally indicted on charges that include cyberstalking and making false statements to federal investigators. He has pleaded not guilty and is awaiting trial.

Mica Miller’s story has drawn national attention, and this documentary is bringing renewed focus to the questions surrounding her death and the events leading up to it.
