Big project in the shop this week...did an American theme picture on both sides of my friend's killer "camper hauler" also painted up a couple window sun shades to keep it cool looking in the hot sun!

Finally finished up my donation panel for Torque Fest. Hanging dice cutout made me think out of ( or in ) the box for an idea.

A few signs from McCarty Art and Design went up this week. Joe Hopp Electric and construction installed a couple in town and Connie and I did one in Keokuk

this was a fun one!

Thanks Unique Safe Restorations for letting me work on this large 9ft. by 3ft -1/4" steel plate! tried to match it up to the killer vault door we did earlier. This one didn't get moved off the lift once it came in...nothing like a 300lb. canvas to paint on!

These trucks just keep getting bigger! Finished this one up this morning. Thanks Wilson Boring for the use of your shop. Mine wasn’t big enough to handle this one.

This is always the best week of March, the final countdown to the Chicago Brushmasters annual art auction and the World of Wheels car show this weekend at the Donald E. Stephen’s Center in Rosemont, IL. Getting a few panels finished up and a few more started that I will finish up there. Looking forward to to seeing all my paint family and all the killer art. Hugh Hoffman and I are having another painter jumping in the truck and heading north on Friday, the super talented Todd C. Jones . These two guys really bring it when there are charity events like this. Hugh and I collaborated on the mean green panel and still have a few details to go on it and the others

Moving a few things around at the shop and finally decided to start my MK John artwork tribute wall… only have about half of them displayed for now, need a bigger shop. MK was and always will be my biggest influence when it comes to art and design. His ability to make the art tell a story has always impressed me. He is still putting out killer work in his 80’s!

Been throwing down some paint lately, did a skateboard for the Flying Piston Benefit Auction in Daytona March 2nd and some fun stuff I did at Hugh’s Jam today. The skateboard was to be a hippie theme so I went back to some of my 70’s memories for ideas… knew a few that lived that freestyle life.

Had this bison skull for years and finally tried to paint on it…. Not the best surface for sure but hanging up high on a wall it will look fine.
