Community members in Grand Rapids, Kentwood, Wyoming, and surrounding areas have reported an increase of ICE activity. If you witness any ICE presence in your neighborhood, you can report it immediately to local rapid response hotlines.
Before Calling: Remember to SALUTE.Providing detailed information is critical for rapid response teams. Take a moment to gather the following before you call:
Size: How many agents or officers are present?
Activity: What are the agents doing? If someone is detained, note their A-number and/or DOB if known.
Location: Give an exact address, intersection, or landmark. Include street abbreviations (Ave/St/Rd).
Unit(s): What letters, patches, or markings are visible? Examples:
HSI - Homeland Security Investigations
CBP - US Customs and Border Protection or Field Operations
DHS - Department of Homeland Security
Time: Note the exact time you witnessed the activity.
Equipment: What gear do they have? Examples: weapons, flexicuffs, dogs, door breakers, LRAD sound cannon, vans, SUVs, etc.
