I've had some people tell me that it's impossible to get leads nowadays from Facebook cheaper that $5.

I'd like to admit, even though the bidding in the auctions have significantly risen and the competition is dense.

You can still get leads cheaper than $5. In fact...

We have an account that that is getting leads cheaper than $1.

As you can see just from the $7 amount spend this client has generated already over 13 leads!

So how do you get leads that are cheaper than $1.

All you have to do is focus very much on one of the most important attributes of the campaign.

And that is Click-Through-Rate.

As you can see from the image below this campaign has a click through rate of an astonishing 6%.

That is very high, thus Facebook rewards us (regardless of competition size and expensive CPMs) with a cheaper Click thus giving us cheaper leads.

Ok. So what that means is if we have a very high CTR, we can get a cheaper CPC which will give us in tern a cheaper Cost Per Lead.

How To Properly Waste Money.

I had a interesting call with a guy named Tom. He owns an a sales agency that specializes in calling leads, setting appointments, and selling them over the phone and zoom.

He just recently told me how he has so many clients who build email and text messaging lists of people. Who do not nurture their lists or speak with them.

They spend so much effort into the front end leads who signed up just recently then spending effort on the leads who signed up but was not yet ready to commit.

Therefore they are taking time to convert the 1-5% of their leads while forgetting about the other 95% of their list.

Statistics show that on average around 30-35% of leads convert through email marketing campaigns that have warmed them up, nurtured them with information, content and builded trust.

That is a lot of money to leave on the table. Or in this case... Waste...

Our marketing agency builds email list that lasts anywhere from 1 month to 6-8 months.

Because you'd be suprised about how many of my leads have signed up with our service who was on my email list for "years."

It was just a right time in their life to decide that they wanted to commit and grow their business with our help.

In order to understand why you are not getting leads we need to take a look at the data and give us the determination of measurement on the reason why your campaign has either lost traction or didn't pull any weight to begin with.
Potential Reasons Why You Are Not Getting Enough Leads

1. Your audience is currently fatigued. They have seen your offer too many times and now are not reacting to it anymore.

2. The campaign lost traction. It was working for a while and started to not work anymore. Could be because of audience fatigue but costs have creeped up, and it is more expensive to acquire a lead thus you are getting less leads within your budget. (if your CPA is $5 per lead and your budget is $1,000 then you will get 200 leads but if your cost went up to $12 per lead and your budget is still $1,000 then you will get 83 leads). ($1,000/$12)

3. If you didn't happen to get any leads from the campaign, it could be a variety of reasons. Your offer sucks, people are not responding to the offer, your ad creative is not attracting people's attention. They overlook your ads. You could be targeting the wrong people. The offer is great, and the ad is amazing, so you are getting clicks out of curiosity but no one is taking action because they are the wrong market to begin with.

Many of you may have read the book "The Ask Formula"

It's a very good book and if you haven't I highly suggest you read it.

It in detail explains how to ask questions through survey methods to get the certain kind of prospect that you want.

1. Consumption is the main reason your lead quality is low. The people need to consume your content to the highest level in order to fully understand what it is they are getting out of your service.

Most landing pages and even emails people do not necessarily "read." Instead they "scan" and pick up on headlines and the first sentence or two of your copy.

In order to get the highest level of consumption we love to implement "surveys"

As a question can never be answered unless it is fully "read" and understood.

Therefore the consumption level of the survey is around 85 - 95% vs the consumption level on a standard landing page (depending on the brand's influence to the market) is around 30 - 40%.

2. Some people don't want what you have to offer immediately. The survey funnel ask questions and gets a very clear understanding of the readers needs.

Running Google Ads typically tends to be expensive in most cases. However you'll find the quality of the leads to be significantly a little better than Facebook.

Reason being is because with google many of the searches are obviously searching for your help vs Facebook where they are interrupted with your ads.

You can get cheap leads from Google however and I will explain how.

See below we are acquiring a $6 Lead from a Google search campaign on a relatively competitive keyword bringing him 20 leads from a $136 ad spend along with 16 phone calls (they can click the google ad and call).

Getting the best results possible from Google requires the following:

1. A very good Search Ad. (Relatively an ad that is optimized to get good CTRs)

2. A convertible landing page that is informative and clear. (Relevance scores take a hit if the landing page is off)

3. Keywords that are relative to the ad (It's best to put specific keywords in ad groups that can match the search ad. That way it will show that the ad has the keyword phrase and is relative to the landing page)

4. Information Friendly (Google rewards advertisers who have very good information friendly content. They measure bounce rates from the ad click and all of that. The better the page the more higher your relevance score will be and cheaper your costs will be.)

5. Time (Google doesn't happen to work overnight. It takes time using keyword phrases, testing, and utilizing negative keywords eliminating unwanted impressions from seeing your ad and thus lowering your CTR.)

We have some ads getting 15-30% CTRs and remember it's also important to have a phone number on the ad. It helps a lot to build trust with the searcher as they feel they can easily talk to someone on the other end of the page.

A client told me that his Facebook profile was hacked a while back.

While his Facebook profile was hacked the hacker gained access to his ad account.

Allowing the ability to spend money on his ads he found that his ad account was spending hundreds of dollars on a brand trying to sell merchandise.

He immediately reported this to Facebook and removed his card from the file.

This happened and legitimately could happen to anyone of us. Here are some ways to prevent this from happening to you.

1. Use a 2 Step Verification Code
Every-time you log into Facebook it normally asks you for a two step verification. So when you login with your user and pw it will also send you either an email or a text message with a code confirming you is "you." Set that up and make sure it works.

This is only used when you log in from a different device or a different IP address.

2. Change your password every 3 months minimum.
Hackers are very smart. They use softwares, and devices that can bypass the most complicated proxies, cookies, and other ways to steal your information. So if you have your passwords saved on your computer it's possible that they can access it without the proper protection. It's best to always change your passwords often to prevent this.

3. Do a virus detection on your computer and cleanup once a month. If you use a mac you can get mac-keeper. It's what I use and it auto scans for viruses, cleans computer cookies and helps speed up my computer a lot at the same time protects from the latest viruses out there. Get it if you don't have it and use it!

4. Don't share your password. If you do share your password, then change it as soon as you can. Keeping your passwords changed and use different methods of creating passwords limits risk of this happening to you!

This is a very important topic because it is happening to so many accounts left and right these days and people are very frustrated and want to know why.

Why Is the Ad Account or Profile Restricted?

The reasons are very random. But it is very robotic.

The restrict account access through a series of algorithms that just fire from the slightest unusual activity.

The system is definitely not reliable thus when the accounts are restricted in most cases you can appeal it and get it reinstated quick immediately.

Just keep in mind. If you are following guidelines and feel it is an error. Persist and continue to appeal the account until it gets reinstated.

What to do If Your Ad Account or Profile Gets Restricted?

First, I would highly recommend getting "3" backup accounts.

That means having 3 profiles that are active, and 3 ad accounts that are active as well.

I believe that because if one ad account is down, you can instantly flow ads to the other account without the delay of waiting for it to get reinstated.

Second, if it gets restricted go ahead and appeal it immediately. Appeal it and wait for them to reply back. No need to contact them more than once as they have already have your appeal in qued.

It's a hit or miss when it comes to them looking at the account.

Sometimes they will appeal it right away and sometimes it could take weeks or even months.

At the moment I recommend having multiple accounts because right now due to COVID the waiting period has been taking extremely long for appeals to get reinstated.

So as a business owner, don't wait. Already have your backup on standby and active.

How To Keep Your Ad Account or Profile From Being Restricted

It's a hassle believe me. But best practices are to always as follows:

1. Stay within guidelines (FB keeps a record count of disapproved ads and it adds up over time. The more disapproved ads puts you at risk for getting it banned)

2. Keep Competitors and haters at bay. (Yea, there are some people that will continue to see your post and mark it as spam and that also ads up. Give value on some of your ads and it will aid you in keeping good feedback in the feeds)

3. Use Credit Cards as payments (There was a scam of people abusing the platform and not paying for ads, I'm not too sure how it happened but they are very sensitive when it comes to payment. Make sure you use a valid card and it matches your name as well as your business. Don't use Paypal or anything else)

4. Don't create a brand new profile and start running ads immediately. (It's just a red flag. FB tracks IPs and everything. Very easy for them to know what you are doing and it makes it look like you are being sneaky.)

BONUS: Don't put all of your eggs in FB. (There are still other platforms that you can use. Google, Tik Tok, Linked in, Youtube, Snapchat are all platforms to run ads on. Become Omnipresent).
