Thirty days in, and Babe’s has already become part of the cultural conversation.

What began as an intimate 8-seat diner in Sag Harbor has quickly found its way onto the radar of editors, tastemakers, and East End regulars alike, earning recognition from some of the most respected voices in food, lifestyle, and culture.

“The Summer’s Hottest Table” — Bloomberg

“Instantly Essential” — HAMPTONS Magazine

“People Are Abuzz About Babe’s” — VOGUE

We’re grateful for the early embrace and excited for what’s ahead. This is only the beginning.

Newsday featured Nick Weber and Melting Pot: Friends From Afar, his ongoing portrait series celebrating first-generation immigrants who live and work on Long Island’s East End.

What began as a handful of paintings has grown into a body of more than 20 portraits and counting, each created through face-to-face sittings in Nick’s Springs studio. Together, they tell a story about friendship, resilience, belonging, and the people who help shape this community every day.

As Nick says in the article:
“Everybody here has taken the leap, so to speak, and so they all know what they’re made of.”

Thank you to Alek Lewis and Newsday for taking the time to tell this story.

Coming May 2026 to Sag Harbor: Babe’s.

A modern take on the American diner, Babe’s is rooted in what’s close by, with produce sourced from local farms and a menu that leans into familiar classics with a sharper point of view. Breakfast and lunch anchor the offering, from a reworked New York BEC to plates that feel both nostalgic and considered.
Set in an intimate space on Division Street, Babe’s is designed as a place to return to, equal parts morning ritual and midday gathering spot.

More to come.

As the East End prepares for another summer high season, East Hampton–based painter Nick Weber continues building his ongoing portrait series, Melting Pot: Friends From Afar, which now includes upwards of 30 paintings and counting.

What began as a small body of work has evolved into an expanding visual record of first-generation Americans who live and work on Long Island’s East End. In a place often defined by summer homes and postcard scenery, these portraits tell another story. One about migration, labor, friendship, and the many cultures that quietly converge here.

The project and Weber’s mission have already begun to resonate beyond the studio, drawing attention from CNN, NPR, Vanity Fair, and Dan’s Papers, among others.

For Weber, the series has become both a personal archive and an ongoing conversation.

“As long as immigration remains a polarizing subject, I’ll keep painting these portraits. These are my friends. They come from every corner of the world, yet our lives intersect here on the East End. Their stories deserve to be seen.”

From Jamaica to Bulgaria, Tokyo to Colombia and beyond, Melting Pot: Friends From Afar continues to expand. One portrait. One story. One friend at a time.

There was a time when hospitality was considered an art form. When the way a guest was welcomed, acknowledged, and remembered mattered as much as the occasion itself.

For more than three decades, Marc Friedland has quietly defined that language. Through Marc Friedland Couture, he has transformed invitations, environments, and guest experiences into a form of emotional storytelling. Every detail is intentional. Every gesture communicates meaning.

In an age of fleeting digital interaction, Marc’s work reminds us that the most powerful experiences are still tactile, personal, and deeply human.

PR Raconteur is proud to announce our representation of Marc Friedland Couture.

Some traditions are worth preserving. This is one of them.

Decider sat down with Rosalyn Yellin of Members Only: Palm Beach to unpack the etiquette chatter, the so-called rules, and she took the opportunity to clarify intent, tone, and the difference between lived experience and heightened reality. When the soundbite travels faster than the context, interviews like this matter. A smart reminder that reality TV is edited, amplified, and designed to provoke conversation.
