Imagine if I listened to every person who told me to be “realistic.”
To shrink my vision to match their limited perception of what they believed was possible.
To reduce my dreams to something digestible, acceptable, or attainable within their comfort.
To dim my light because it reflected everything they abandoned within themselves.
Because sometimes, brilliance becomes uncomfortable for those who chose to play small.
Imagine if I agreed every time someone tried to make my dreams more “orthodox,” more “practical,” more “achievable” according to their level of courage, not mine.
Imagine if I said “you’re right” every time someone asked me to shrink myself, conform myself, or silence the version of me that already knew she was meant for more.
But I already knew who I was created to be.
I already had the vision. I already had the assignment.
And if this dream was placed in my heart, it was not for validation — it was for responsibility.
To use my voice, my story, my healing, and my gifts to inspire others to remember what they were taught to forget about themselves.
I am not here to live within limitations.
I am here to expand beyond them.
I am not here to be understood by everyone.
I am here in this world to become everything I was meant to be.
I define myself.
I create my future.
I am in control of my destiny.
With this one life I am blessed with, I am designed to be extraordinary and create a legacy beyond myself.
Because I said so.
Because I chose so.
Because I became so.
And that is the difference. Know yourself deeply enough so that the world can never define who you are, for you.
