2007 Springer

This is my fourth Harley and definitely my favorite so far. Over the winter it got Fueling cams and complete cam chest. Also a Thundermax tuner and some new hand-tooled leather work.

It runs like a top and is super fun to ride!

Bobber 750 vs Bobber M8-117?

Is bobbing my current bike worth it, or should I just trade up to an Indian Dark Horse Bobber or a bobbed FatBoy lo?

I ride a 2013 Honda Shadow Phantom 750 (see second pic).

The first image is a modified HD Fat Boy Lo, which fits my aesthetic look. I have not had a test ride on the fat boy lo.

I do want to bobb my Shadow Phantom to get this aesthetic, and I believe a 750cc bike would be more than enough for inner city rides and the occasional freeway to scenic routes, but I would max out at 66mph. So don't see the need for buying a newer and bigger bike that I'd anyways have to modify to how I want it to look and feel.

I am 250 lbs and 6'0 with 34 inseam, shorter torso, and a giant's head. The wing span is 6'9.

How feasible is it to modify the Phantom to fit the aesthetic of a bigger bike and my dimensions and meet my aesthetic wants.

So that would include fork risers, lower seats, extended forward controls, fender modifications, cables and electronics, and handlebar risers.

I have some test rides on a Fat Boy, Fat Bob, and Indian Dark Horse.

I am also working on losing weight and have lost 20lbs so far.

Also, what helmets do you recommend for a 5xl diamond shaped head that is wide?

6 years on the road, time for a refresh?

This was my first from the ground up build, I've turned every nut on this bike. Had the engine down to split cases, built the trans from an aftermarket case and Andrew's/baker parts.

But I made a bunch of little mistakes. The engine and trans are still solid but I want to change some things on the frame, maybe put together a little longer fork with a bit of rake.

Now that it's showing some age I'm thinking after this summer I strip it back down to get to work.

Or I leave it and live with the mistakes and finish one of these other projects...
