Focus Groups are organized round-table discussions made up of people who share some of the same characteristics (age, profession, car, hobbies, tastes in food, etc). These groups are used to compile information about one specific topic. Information given allows companies to gain insight and understanding about different market trends. People that are invited to focus groups are paid for their part

icipation. Payment can range anywhere from $75 to $500. A session can last from 30 to 180 minutes. You will always be told in advance what the expected length of the group, topic, compensation and dress attire are.
