Imagine a world without social media! We've all witnessed social media platforms shutting down. Just earlier this week, Slack experienced an outage. Though social media has fantastic networking platforms, situations like that always make me think, "How can we connect with our clients if social media no longer exists"? 🤔
Before social media (yes, that type of life existed LOL), business owners could attract clients through word of mouth, telephone calls, and EMAIL LISTS💻. What is an email list, you ask? An email list contains the email addresses of your clients that would like to receive notifications from you.
Your messages on social media are seen based on the algorithm system, so there is no guarantee that your audience will see all of your posts. However, once a client is on your email list, they will receive blog notifications, discounts, Golden Tips 😉, and other updates about your business.
Unsure of how to start an email list or which services to use? Start by adding a call to action 🗣 on your posts and website. Also, make sure you have a "Subscription" section in numerous places on your site. Lastly, offer your clients EXCLUSIVE incentives for signing up! Tools you should consider are Mailchimp, Wix, Constant Contact, and ConvertKit.
If you already have an email list, make sure to review for inactive customers who have not opened your emails in a while and reintroduce yourself and your brand. (Pssst...offer a SECRET incentive🤫)
Trust me when I tell you, your clients want to hear from and maintain a relationship with you. Creating your email list will be one of the best things you can do for your brand and clients.
