Every interaction is a chance to learn more about your fans. Emily White breaks it down: when you have price points for everyone (high-end and low-end ), you can make a million dollars with just 20,000 fans.

But here's the catch: monetization is the final step. So many artists rush to order T-shirts and set up Shopify… but who are you going to ask to buy it? Build the foundation first.

Have you been selling before you're ready? Watch the full episode on our YouTube channel: youtube.com/

It all comes back to authenticity. What are you actually trying to communicate? Guest Emily White drops some real wisdom: you should be monetizing your music before it's even out, through pre-orders (not just pre-saves).

The biggest artists in the world all run long-lead pre-orders. That's where the highest profit margins and the richest fan data live. Are you leaving money on the table before release day?

Have you done pre-orders as opposed to pre-saves? Watch the full episode on our YouTube channel at youtube.com/.

Don't be afraid to offer high-level options. If you can provide something that truly equals the value of the price, then having a premium tier is completely appropriate.

Offer several different tiers. Let people choose the level that's right for them.

Don't spend all your time and money on a website before you "start" your business. The thing you actually need to do to start a business? Get a client. It sounds ridiculous because it's that simple.

Stop worrying about being perfect and start doing the thing that actually moves you forward. What's holding you back from your first client? 👇

Publishing my first book was the best thing I've ever done. I self-published. Were there mistakes? Sure. But I did it myself, shared it with my email list, and amazing things happened.

The lesson: creating something valuable for your community (even something small) gets you so much further. If you've got a good thing, build it into something real.

Even a little revenue rooted in value is worth it. What have you been meaning to create? 👇

Real talk on networking: you need a network. That's where the opportunities and allies come from.

But here's the thing, networking isn't about getting something out of someone. It's about being there. Being present. Showing up as a real human, not a transaction.

The magic happens when you connect first and let the opportunities follow naturally. How do you like to network? Drop your thoughts below. 👇

Radical honesty moment: sometimes the most professional thing you can do is say, "You're not the right client for me... and here's your money back."

Integrity means knowing when a relationship isn't working and having the courage to walk away the right way. No hard feelings, no bad energy. Just honesty and a clean exit.

Not every client is your client. And that's more than okay. Have you ever had to fire a client? Tell us how it went. 👇

Want to start a business? Spend time writing what I call your signature piece.

Mine came back in '96. I published "How to Be Your Own Music Publicist," and the reason might surprise you. I simply couldn't get my own work done anymore. I was spending all my time answering the same questions, over and over again.
So I captured those answers, put them in one place, and sent them out into the world.

That's the lesson I come back to again and again: anything you find yourself explaining repeatedly is your thing. It's the expertise you've stopped noticing because it comes so naturally to you. Capture it. Package it. Become the go-to expert in at least one area and let your knowledge start working for you.

What's the one thing people always come to YOU for advice about? 👇
