Back in February, Love, Brooklyn won the NAACP Image Awards®️ for Outstanding Independent Motion Picture — and last week, the official trophy finally made its way home!
We’re still taking it in. 🙏🏽✨️
Maurice, one of the founders here at Little Moon Studios, was honored to be one of the producers on this beautiful film, and Little Moon Studios is deeply grateful to have contributed in our own small-but-meaningful way to a story rooted in love, place, memory, and Black creative excellence.
We also want to give a huge, full-hearted thank you to our Atlanta community who showed up for our Love, Brooklyn Q&A Screening last October. You filled the room with warmth, curiosity, laughter, and real conversation — the kind of energy that reminds us why stories like this matter.
A special thank you to the incredible Rachael Holder and lovely Saycon Sengbloh for joining us as our guest speakers and sharing so generously with the room; to Mercendez Springer of Black Women Film Network for being such an awesome, insightful moderator; and to Tara Theatre for hosting us and giving this conversation such a beautiful home for the evening.
That night had heart, depth, humor, and that good “we could talk about this all night” energy.
And to everyone who has sent us photos of finding Love, Brooklyn out in the wild — on a flight, on a movie date, tucked into your streaming queue — thank you. Every message, photo, and “look what I found!” has meant more than you know.
Grateful to the entire Love, Brooklyn team, the NAACP Image Awards, our Atlanta village, and everyone who continues to make space for independent stories that move with soul.
Brooklyn, Atlanta, love, legacy — and a little moonlight. 🌙
