Strike your best IT'S DEF NOT OK BUT WE WILL BE OK pose. Speaking of...Are you guys all hanging in there??!!

In I'd probably wear this dress with a black combat boot because I'd be out and about in stores shopping with clients. Today I'm barefoot virtually shopping in my home office - my new normal.

This is the PERFECT time to organize your closet. It's a great activity that you can do in parts and it's something we all NEED to do anyways. When you're done you'll feel great.

If you have a lot of clothing - because you will likely be tackling this alone you should start small. One section a day or just at a time. Pick one category, think of items that are in HEAVY rotation right now. For me that's DRESSES!

When I work from home I tend to not wear my tightest pants because it's really uncomfortable to sit for hours on end so I like wearing a dress or a skirt just for the sheer comfort. As you've all see in my IG Stories over the last few weeks...

Follow these super quick tips of how you'll get started!
1. Keep in the season you're in. This minimizes the amount of items you'll be looking at.
2. Be ruthless. If you didn't wear it last spring or the spring before chances are you won't wear it.
3. Be realistic. If you had a major life event that changed the way you dressed that might change your opinion on an item. Don't just use the rule above as a blanket statement to follow. There are always exceptions to the rule.
4. Be responsible. When you can, you should consider recycling the items(make sure they are clean). Nothing should go into a trash can. Know where you are placing the items if they aren't going to a new home.

Go into this project with INTENTION(like I always say to do) you will have a plan and you'll be able to tackle this project with ease.

Dreaming of wearing this little romper some day in the future. It would style real well with a big cozy oversized knit cardigan👏🏼💫 Rented with the intention for wearing her a few weeks ago in West Palm Beach but now looking forward to stretching her into another season with style.

I love cashmere and wool. I especially love how soft they become after you wash them yourself! I rarely if ever dry clean any of my knits 🧶 Check out how I recommend washing your knits.

Things that make me happy? Flowers. We now have 4 different bouquets around our apartment.

We both work from home but this is a unique situation. We along with the world have to put things on pause. We were in the home stretch of our May wedding. 72 days according to our countdown. Our spring wedding will now hopefully be a fall celebration! My Chicago shower was cancelled on the same day that we started getting gifts in the mail.

I'm navigating what that means as this is uncharted territory but I'm using my interior styling skills and stylings the $%&t out of this GORGEOUS vase.

In all honesty, I didn't really know what to register for because we kinda have EVERYTHING. As a couple in their mid/late 30's living in NYC we should have most things... so I fell back on my go to "gifting policy" of 'get something; you will love but wouldn't actually buy for yourself.

I L.O.V.E. Jonathan Adler and gifted a bunch of his home items from the collab with this past winter for our holiday gifts.

Styling Tips:
#1 I trim the leaves off the stems and didn't cut them too much so they'll stand tall. I also add a few ice cubes because roses like REALLY cold water.

#2 I Add height behind a sofa. Having different levels of height within a space elevates it. I love placing vases on console tables or shelfs that sit behind sofas or next to chairs....just be careful when you stretch on your sofa not to knock over the vase.

It's been a week since I had to say goodbye to you my baby boy. My heart still hurts. I still cry randomly all the time. I know it was your time, and we tried everything we possibly could to make you better but that doesn't make it any easier.

Most people don't know me without you big guy. It had been Allie & Bendels for almost 15 years....It's never easy saying goodbye to someone who's literally been right by my side for my entire adult life but that is how it goes I guess. I knew full well all those years ago when I brought you into my life that I would eventually have to say goodbye. That's the thing about loving a dog. All we can do is hold onto all the memories, pictures and know that you made EVERYONE smile. That was your thing :) My little muppet, swiffer mop, bugsies...Benny-boo-boo.

Life does go on. Especially now, when the world is in this unsettled place....We have to take everything one day at a time, I have to put my big girl pants on and push forward. Mike and I are doing are part to keep OTHERS SAFE by practicing social distancing and just staying home.

We have a wedding to reschedule which isn't really top of mind but thought I'd throw that down as a lot of people are grappling with this new world we are living through. Let's all make sure our 1st priority is doing what we can to not get the virus so we don't pass it on to others. Stop the spread. Be kind and be accountable. Help the helpers and know that, this time ONE PERSON CAN MAKE ALL THE DIFFERENCE.

Yesterday was a turning point and I'm trying to get back to normal, whatever that means right now. I'll mostly be on IG Stories sharing fun things for everyone to do while you're home. Organizing, cleaning, fashion and interior...I plan to share my professional tips & tricks in depth.. comment below for any specific Q's I'll surely touch on it over the next few weeks/months.

For those of you that are now WFH, I'm a pro so I'll share some of those tips too.

Allie

"It's your life and it should feel like you".

It's important to understand that as lifestyle designers at TBG we are working with our client and trying to help them figure out what their style is and how to get them to a place where they are happy. Whether working on their wardrobe or home it's THEIR life and it should feel like them so it's our J.O.B. to make that happen.
