Next week marks the first anniversary of The Serial Optimist Podcast's launch, and I can't believe I've already been doing the show for that long! It has certainly been a learning curve to balance the podcast with running my marketing agency, managing rental properties, and being a stay-at-home mom. Still, the past year has been full of so many amazing memories, many of them from doing this show.

So, to celebrate the upcoming anniversary of the podcast, I am asking my listeners and subscribers what they have learned from the show. What's your favorite episode? Video podcasts are perfect to watch on YouTube during a lunch break or a slow morning at home. Meanwhile, audio podcasts are better suited for road trips or while cleaning the house. Starting a business can be terrifying for new entrepreneurs. There's a lot of potential risk involved in terms of stability and financial security, and many beginner entrepreneurs have tons of questions that they are too afraid to ask.

Amber is here to remind us all that not only is it okay to ask questions, but it is more than likely that successful business owners will be happy to share tips with you when you ask nicely. Don't let your fear get in the way of your growth. 💜

Real talk: it's scary launching your own business. The fear of failure and rejection is ever-present. You have to convince so many people to believe in your business, from family members to investors to clients. It's overwhelming to say the least.

However, as our guest Amber said, you feel motivated to do these scary things by taking action. It will always seem impossible until you finally just do it. So take it from two small business owners currently scaling their businesses; get motivates and take ACTION.

We all have big goals that we want to achieve,accomplish that we can't wait to celebrate once we finally hit that milestone. Sometimes it feels like it's only worth celebrating once we achieve that goal. However, as Amber tells Steph, you can't fully celebrate those big milestones unless you celebrate the small wins you had along the way.

Achieving smaller goals in pursuit of a larger goal is what allows you to even achieve that big goal in the first place. Celebrate all the hard work you have put in, not just the final stretch of the journey.

Change is a welcomed necessity in life in order to grow, but as Shea points out, it's normal to grieve what once was. While it's necessary, change can be daunting. It's important to process what in your life has changed and what it will mean for you going forward. It may be scary at first, but it's always worth it in the long run. 💜
