This is what most “top 10 viral growth tips” blog posts include. And you shouldn’t rely on any of it.

TikTok is a huge attention opportunity. But, it’s a significant shift in strategy compared to other channels. TikTok requires a new skillset.

❌ Don’t search TikTok for tips on what to do
❌ Don’t listen to trendy influencers
❌ Don’t just repost YouTube and Reels content
❌ Don’t repurpose TV spots
❌ Don’t rely on creators, influencers, and UGC
❌ Don’t look at what’s working for unrelatable brands

Most people offering advice are not professional training companies, and they haven’t built these strategies for your business.

What works for your nephew Jimmy getting viral views on his snowboarding videos, doesn’t translate to building a business account.
