🌿✨ **It’s the first of the month! Time to blow the cinnamon!** ✨🌿

If you've never heard of this tradition, many people believe that blowing a pinch of cinnamon through your front door on the first day of the month invites abundance, prosperity, success, and positive energy into your home.

As you blow the cinnamon in, some people like to say:

*"When this cinnamon blows, prosperity will enter. Abundance will come and stay. Money will flow, blessings will grow, and all good things will find their way."*

Whether you believe in the ritual itself or simply enjoy taking a moment to set positive intentions, it's a beautiful reminder to start the month with hope, gratitude, and an open heart.

Some days it feels like everyone else got the instruction manual that you never received.

If you have ADHD, autism, anxiety, or a combination of them, even simple tasks can feel exhausting. You may want something with your whole heart and still struggle to start. You may have a list of goals and spend hours thinking about them, only to feel guilty because you didn't make the progress you wanted. You may be called lazy when the truth is you're mentally fighting battles most people never see.

ADHD can make it difficult to stay focused, manage time, complete tasks, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain consistency. Autism can make navigating social situations, change, sensory overload, and daily expectations incredibly draining. Anxiety can convince you that you're already failing before you've even begun.

And when those things stack together? It can feel overwhelming.

But hear me when I say this:

You are not your diagnosis.

You are not your unfinished to-do list.
You are not your missed deadlines.
You are not your bad days.
You are not your struggles.

The fact that something is harder for you does not mean you are less capable. It means you're climbing a mountain while some people are walking on flat ground.

Be proud of the things you've survived.
Be proud of the days you got out of bed when your brain told you not to.
Be proud of every small victory that nobody else noticed.

Progress is still progress, even when it's slow.

The world may measure success by speed, but your worth was never tied to how fast you move.

Give yourself grace.
Give yourself patience.
And most importantly, don't let your struggles convince you that you're broken.

You are still growing.
You are still learning.
You are still capable.

And if nobody has told you lately:

I'm proud of you for still being here and still trying.

You've got this. ❤️

Healing yourself is one of the greatest forms of self-love. 🖤

Take the time to fix the parts of you that were taught to settle for less. Learn yourself. Love yourself. Heal the wounds that made you think bare minimum love was enough.

Because when you truly know your worth, you stop chasing people who only know how to love you halfway. You stop begging to be seen by people who were never looking deeply enough in the first place.

The right person will see you, hear you, protect your heart, and love you in the way you need to be loved — not in the way that leaves you questioning yourself every night.

Don’t rush love just because you feel lonely.
A healthy love is worth waiting for. 🤍✨

I guess it’s finally time to introduce myself since so many of you have been asking who’s behind the scenes lately 👀

Hi! I’m **Ash** — the social media manager here at Empire Tattoo 🖤

I moved to Oklahoma in 2023 and honestly… it’s been one of the most positive and life-changing experiences. I’ve never experienced neighborly love and southern hospitality quite like I have here.

I’m a mom of two (one on the spectrum ❤️), I run mostly on coffee and chaos, and if I haven’t had coffee… respectfully, I become a public safety concern 😂☕

Outside of work, you’ll usually find me thrifting, reviewing local Oklahoma small businesses, or chasing my next random adventure. I’m a Ta**us, I love vintage finds, stones, and yes… tarot cards are absolutely part of my personality 🖤✨

I’ve been working in social media management since **2015**, and helping small businesses grow is something I genuinely love. I fully believe in the American dream of building something of your own, and being a small part of helping businesses succeed is incredibly rewarding to me.

I met Craig through the community and saw firsthand how involved he was and how much passion he had for what he does. When Empire needed a social media manager, I knew I wanted to be part of the team.

And as someone with **17 tattoos (and now 2 more thanks to Craig 😂)** I can honestly say I’ve never experienced a shop with so many talented, humble, drama-free artists under one roof. Every human in this shop has been so welcoming. ❤️
