Six months ago I wrote about settling into the "new normal" as a working dad.

Running a small business and being present for my family used to feel like a tradeoff. Some days it still does.

But I've learned that the version of success that matters most to me isn't bigger revenue, or more clients, it's being the kind of dad and the kind of business owner my community can count on.

That's still the goal. Every day.

A year ago, Lauren Vieyra was in the hardest season of new motherhood… postpartum anxiety and depression she wasn't prepared for.

Black & Gold Honors... again. 🏆

Club Car just recognized McNew's Unlimited, LLC for their 2025 performance. That's Club Car's top dealer honor, and it's not the first time this family-owned North Platte business has earned it.

That's not luck. That's what happens when a business shows up and does the job right, year after year.

We built their website, and it's always a good feeling when news like this proves the business behind it earns every bit of the sharp first impression it makes.

North Platte, we love it when the people behind our clients get the recognition they deserve.

Today we're celebrating a few incredible people from right here in our community. Elizabeth (People's Health- Family Planning Program) Tom Moss (Tom Moss Lashley Land & Recreational Brokers), Jennifer Boston (NebraskaLand Bank), and Holly Hill (Trucks N Tiaras Academy of Discovery and Enrichment) just made the cut for Leadership Lincoln County's Class of 2026. It's a program that brings community leaders together to learn, connect, and grow this county from the inside out.

Honestly, it says as much about the organizations they work for as it does about them. People's Health, Lashly Land Brokers, NebraskaLand National Bank, and Trucks N Tiara all build teams full of people who actually show up for this community. This class is proof of that.

Congrats to Elizabeth, Tom, Jennifer, Holly, and the whole 2026 class! We can't wait to see what you bring back to western Nebraska.

What I've learned after running a digital marketing agency in rural Nebraska.

Three kids, one door, and about four different moods captured in one photo.

People ask me all the time how I balance running Avid Media with everything else going on at home. Honest answer? Some days I don't... and that's okay.

This is my crew, end-of-summer, mid-chaos, right before we headed out the door.

Building a business in North Platte means building it around a family, not instead of one.

These three are a big part of why "we live here" isn't just our tagline. It's Tuesday morning drop-offs, Friday night swimming, and knowing the same faces at the grocery store that I see at client meetings.

The kids are heading back to school, school pictures are being taken. Something about this season always makes me pause.

There's something about this time of year that reminds me why I do what I do.

New backpacks. New teachers. New chances. New pictures.

We talk a lot about business at Avid. Reach, engagement, websites, strategy. But underneath all of it, the reason is simple:
