Imagine you are trying to buy a product on the internet and you see two options. A high percentage of the time, you will be choosing the product with not only better quality images, but also better quality descriptions.

There are plenty of actions you can easily take to improve your website's Search Engine Optimization (SEO). You don't have to be an expert!

The key is to realize that SEO is more than just keywords. There are plenty of ways to improve SEO but today let's focus on one - Page Loading Speed

There are two takeaways from Anna’s quote:

1. Slow sites equal fewer profits and visitors.
2. Page load speed is an important Google ranking factor. And now, Google prioritizes mobile pages, mobile page load speed has never been more important.

One quick way that you can easily take action on your own website is by reducing the size of your images. No! I don't mean make them smaller so that people have to squint!

Each image has a certain amount of information and therefore has a size measured in bytes. You can easily allow your website to load faster by making your images have less information!

You can change the resolution of the image which will greatly decrease the bytes. Just google something like "Online Image Resizer" and there are plenty of easy and free services you can use.

You simply plug in your image, and it will give you back the image compressed! You then replace the photo on your website with the one that was compressed and there you have it! One step forward to having a faster load speed 📈
