I'm a relatively passive admin for a few Facebook groups. I have noticed a serious uptick in these myself, and want to be sure that others know about this copyright infringement or trademark scam. Basically if someone tells you via messenger that you're in violation of anything in Facebook and it risks your account, don't click on anything. Legitimate messages from Facebook will show up as notices in your actual news feed. They will be incredibly clearly labeled as having been sent by Facebook.

Anything other than that is a scam. Clicking any links can actually cause you to lose your account to hackers, so don't.

The Facebook copyright infringement scam appears to have intensified, with users reporting being locked out of their accounts with little help to restore their access.

I appreciate this walk into the dangers of short-form content.

I'm a medium content creator. I base my work on interviews and research, and I am good at synthesizing material and making it work in a logical way.

I have deep knowledge of some things, and I've been given some grief when I answer a question with "it depends" or with questions that I need to provide to clarify the goal or intent behind the initial request. I laughed out loud when I hit the section of this comic that dealt with that level of experience.

I haven't written a book --yet-- but as a professional communicator and content creator, I can say that this whole graphic series is spot-on.

Here's a recent probono project we did for the Maine Children's Scholarship Fund, which gives small but critical scholarships to students pursuing private or homeschool educations. One of their biggest fundraisers is an annual raffle - this year's grand prize is a generator. They're worth supporting!
