Photo-walk anyone?

Okay Olney friends (or those from elsewhere that want to drive in), I am interested in knowing if anyone would like to get together say once or twice (or more?) a month for a photo-walk? These would probably be in the evening or on the weekend, for an hour or two, to share knowledge, learn more about your camera, and learn how to create better pictures. This would probably be more nature/environmental, but it could be anything from night photography (star trails or the milky way) to white squirrels to meeting up at an old car show to sunsets over the lake (and I’m open to suggestions!). I would be more than willing to act as the host/organizer and to share my knowledge with others who want to learn more.

Please email me or message me and let me know if you are interested. If I can get even a couple of responses, I’ll go ahead and come up with our first photo-walk and get the details together. Also, I am considering creating a meetup group to coordinate this (on meetup.com). It is not free. Would everyone be willing to pitch in $1-$2 (voluntarily, not mandatory) per meetup to help cover the cost of the meetup site? Otherwise, I can just try to coordinate through FaceBook. Thanks!

Captured these this past week on my drive to work. I leave early enough that I can stop and get a few pictures of the sunrise almost every day. Some days aren't very picture-worthy, but there are a lot of days that are!

Tomorrow I get to photograph a wedding for two amazing people, Jessica and Blake. It will only be the second ever January wedding I've gotten to shoot. Five years ago today, I got to shoot the wedding for another amazing couple, Katie and David. So glad I had the honor to photograph their wedding. It was a MN January as well, so it was a little different weather than we'll have here tomorrow. But still such an awesome day and a great experience.
