✨ The story behind our name: Dala.

If you’ve ever seen a little painted wooden horse in a Scandinavian home, you’ve met the Dala Horse. For me, it’s more than a symbol of Swedish heritage — it’s a piece of my story.

Growing up, Dala Horses were always there: perched in my Mor Mor’s living room, tucked on my mom’s shelf, part of the backdrop of Christmas mornings filled with Scandinavian brunch and family laughter.

I didn’t know until later that the Dala horse also represents strength, faithfulness, good luck, and prosperity. To me, it represents something even bigger: Lagom — the Swedish lifestyle of “not too much, not too little… just right.”

That’s the heart of Dala Marketing.
Thoughtful, balanced, simple, and strong. A brand that reflects the same values I grew up with — and the ones I want to carry into every project.

Around Covid, I noticed so many of my favorite boutiques and retail shops moving online with Shopify. Some wanted to, some had to — it was the only way to keep sales flowing.

But for most, running an online store wasn’t their thing. And honestly? It still isn’t. Yet it matters more than ever. These are incredible, well-loved businesses with loyal customers, but owners are busy running the shops and developing products they love. They don’t have the time or desire to figure out Shopify optimization, online sales strategy, or scaling e-commerce.

That’s where Dala Marketing comes in.

I’ll be honest — I’ve been reluctant to launch this. Dala is 100% my own, and putting it out there feels vulnerable and a little scary. But I know the services I’ve already been providing — and the results my clients are seeing — work. That gives me confidence and excitement to finally share this.

My goal is to feel like an extension of your team — the one who understands both retail and digital marketing, and feels more like a friend than a flashy agency. The one you can text anytime. The one who is a mom + solo business owner, working hard to grow something she loves… a lot like many of you.
