The ChatGPT tip I didn't know I needed as a muralist 🎨

Upload your design + wall dimensions and it'll tell you exactly how much paint to buy per color. It accounts for coverage, breaks it down by color, and it's actually really accurate.

Had to pass it along. Try it out and let me know 🫶

A collection built with a bigger purpose behind it 💙

I designed this entire collection with The Cold Hearted Co to help fully fund donated murals throughout Omaha and the surrounding community. Every piece was made to feel fun, wearable, and meaningful, from the Find the Good trucker hat and socks to the keychain, sticker, and tee.

The best part? The more this collection grows, the more murals we’re able to give back to the community.

We already have the first donated mural lined up, and moving forward, organizations will be able to apply to receive one. I’m really excited to see where this goes and share more along the way 🫶

Minute Monday: a quick design tip 🍋✨

One of my favorite ways to make branding feel more dynamic is with simple animated GIFs. Such an easy way to add more personality to your digital content.

Back with another old design school project review ✨

This one was from my Typography 2 class, where we each picked a song and designed an entire layout around the energy and feeling of the lyrics. I chose “Cigarette Daydreams” by Cage the Elephant, and looking through this project again brings back so many memories.

Looking back now, I love how fearless I was with scale, texture, layering, and typography. From the ashy textures in the lettering to the contrast between the louder spreads and the really minimal moments, it still feels really intentional to me.

And honestly, for being 20 years old, I’m still giving myself an A+ 🤍

A few mural painting tips that have completely changed the way I paint over the years 🎨

Painting murals is so much more about efficiency than people realize, especially on larger walls with tons of layers and detail. A lot of what looks chaotic in the beginning stages usually leads to the cleanest final result.

Bigger brushes, working background to foreground, and learning brush control have probably made the biggest difference in my process over time.

Back with another old design school project review ✨

I made this book when I was 21, and honestly, I can still tell how much care I put into every detail. From the handmade paper with gold flakes to the hand-bound pullouts and infographics, this project felt really intentional creatively.

Looking back now, there are definitely things I would change, but I still love how dynamic it feels.

When I say I create good design for good brands, this is what I mean 🤍

Working with Schoettger Orthodontics has been one of those projects that’s turned into so much more over time. What started as branding has grown into murals, merch, packaging, and a full brand experience that reflects who they are and how they show up every day.

They’ve built something that goes way beyond orthodontics. It’s a space that feels welcoming, colorful, and genuinely rooted in community. Every design decision, from the artwork on the walls to the small details throughout the office, plays a part in that feeling.

Getting to be a small part of something like that, especially with people who care this much, is the kind of work that reminds me why I love what I do.

A brand I love !! ☻ ☻ ☻

I’ve been subscribed to for almost a year now, and I keep coming back to how good their branding is. It feels clean, intentional, and easy to pick up off the shelf. I especially love their illustrations and colors!

Across their packaging, website, and socials, it all feels consistent in the best way. Just a really thoughtful, happy brand! 🩷

Spring is here, and so is Nebraska wine season 🍷

This project was something special, getting to create the very first branding for the Nebraska Wine Passport. The goal was simple, but not easy: to create something that feels just as welcoming to someone younger as it does to someone older, no matter their experience with wine.

That balance shaped everything from the color palette to the typography to the small details woven throughout the brand. Nebraska wine is intentional, community-driven, and made to be enjoyed.

There are so many thoughtful moments built into this identity, from the passport stamp-inspired mark to the hidden wine bottle in the wordmark, subtle, playful elements that make the whole system feel layered and alive.

And this is just the beginning. The passport is real this year, and I can’t wait to show you what’s coming next 💌

We’re back with another Design My Design 💛

Everything for this one was picked at random. From the business idea to the color palette to the typography. It’s a different direction than I’d normally take, which makes it exciting to dive into.

Now it’s all about bringing it together in a way that actually works.

Stay tuned for part two where I bring this brand to life! 🌮✨
