The state of Florida is suing Jacksonville Roofing Specialists for allegedly scamming homeowners! The state says the company used deceptive door to door tactics making big promises to homeowners that they couldn’t keep.

Here’s how the scam works. The company identifies vulnerable homeowners (the elderly). They promise them a new roof for their deductible but then when the claim is denied the homeowner is on the hook for the money. When they can’t pay the roofer throws a lien on their home and threatens foreclosure! They bully the homeowner into payment plans and crush them under fees.

It’s terrible and if guilty owner Robert Rogero should spend time in PRISON! Not a slap on the wrist, put him in jail!

Nostalgia is underrated
The longing for the “good ol days” is creating a marketing opportunity in 2026. As ai content floods social media, and seemingly every other aspect of life, people are craving a return to the perceived normalcy of a 20-teens world.

While it’s not gonna happen it does create an opportunity for brands to capitalize on giving potential customers the feeling of 2000s culture through pricing, music, references, and more.

Nostalgia is underrated and huge opportunity for brands today.

We are getting 3 views on our YouTube long form videos right now! BUT we have YouTube shorts with 10s of 1000s of views!

We have ads that make us zero money and random reels with MILLIONS of views RIGHT NOW

We have days my calendar is packed with appointments and other days it’s all internal meetings.

Content is not a magic lead source where you make one video and you become an overnight success. It takes consistent effort and a commitment to the FUTURE ROI in your business.

No one likes creating content, but maybe, just maybe, that’s the exact reason you should be 🤔

Ads are not enough
Every business wants leads. We all know it, we all understand it. But what do your customers want? Do you think it’s one more video with a different hook and a different CTA? Noooooo

Your customers are craving authentic content that doesn’t ask them to buy buy buy every time they see your face. It’s exhausting being hit with ads. Show customers who you are, what you’re passionate about, where you eat lunch, how you solve problems…yes it takes time and the ROI per video sucks AT FIRST. But hell so does everything else.

Stop thinking like a 2014 advertising company and think about what your customers actually would want to watch, not what you want to sell them.

Your customers are selfish…and so are you
We all are! We don’t care about anything other than what a company can do for us!

Your customers are tired of seeing another ad, they want to work with a company who can do more than provide a service, they want a company that will provide value without selling them.

Does your content do anything other than ask your customers to buy your product? Is it all just another offer?

Stop asking. Start adding value. Show potential customers you actually do genuinely care and it’s not just a punch line on the side of a truck or front page of the website.
