Today is National Day of Prayer.
And instead of making this just another “Happy National Day of Prayer” post, I wanted this to be something you could actually use.
Prayer matters because it helps us draw near to God, release what we’re carrying, and intercede for the people and places that need Him most. It reminds us that we are not powerless. We can bring every need, every burden, and every person before the Lord.
Today, take a few moments to pray for:
yourself
your family
your friends
your church
your community
those who are hurting
teachers and students
first responders and healthcare workers
small businesses and workplaces
local, state, and national leaders
our nation
Here's a simple guided prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for hearing us when we pray. Today I lift up my family, friends, church, community, and leaders to You. Please bring peace where there is worry, wisdom where there is uncertainty, healing where there is pain, and hope where there is discouragement. Strengthen our faith and help us walk in love, truth, and obedience. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you need a simple prayer starter, use this template:
Lord, today I pray for ________.
Please help them with ________.
Give them strength, wisdom, peace, and direction.
Surround them with Your love and remind them they are not alone.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If you need prayer today, feel free to comment “PRAYER” or send me a message with your prayer request. I would be honored to pray for you.
Save this post for later and share it with someone who may need it today.
