If you’ve been in the industry for a while, you’ve probably heard all the different paths—commission, booth rent, suites… and now, a newer structure that’s been changing the game for a lot of stylists.
When we started looking at how we wanted to grow, we weren’t just thinking about today—we were thinking long-term. How do you build something that actually scales? How do you create a career that doesn’t cap out once your chair is full?
That’s where the strata-style salon model came in for us.
Traditional booth rent can be amazing for independence. You set your schedule, run your business, and keep what you earn. But it can also become… limiting. You’re still trading time for money, you’re handling everything on your own, and growth often means working more hours or raising prices—there’s only so far that can take you.
What drew us to this structure is that it creates room for real growth beyond just your books.
Instead of just renting a chair, you’re building within a system that allows for:
– mentorship and development
– leadership opportunities
– scalability beyond your personal clientele
– and a bigger vision than just “behind the chair forever”
It gives stylists the chance to not only be incredible artists, but to also step into ownership-minded thinking—without having to jump straight into opening a salon completely on their own.
For us, it wasn’t about saying one way is wrong and another is right. It was about asking: What aligns with the future we want?
We wanted something that supports education, team growth, and long-term financial opportunity—not just for us, but for every stylist who walks through our doors.
This model allows you to build a career that evolves with you. Whether you want to stay fully behind the chair, step into leadership, or eventually create something even bigger… you’re not stuck in one lane.
And that’s the difference.
It’s not just about doing hair. It’s about building something that lasts.
