Lean into your geeky side! I used to be embarrassed to be proud of my taste in music, books, etc. Now I know that sharing your passions of how you meet other people who ALSO love those things!

Pinterest is literally made for putting your business in front of people who are already looking for something similar. I’ve discovered SO many cool artists and authors on Pinterest that I never would’ve found otherwise.

You really, really can. ⁣

I used to think I wasn’t the type of person who could ever have my own business. The list of reasons I couldn’t became longer and longer every day I chose fear over action. “I’m too lazy. I didn’t get my degree in this. It’s too late to start. No one will care. I’ll embarrass myself. I won’t follow through. I won’t make any money.”⁣
⁣
But here’s the thing: none of those reasons matter. They’re not even reasons, they’re excuses. When I discovered Pinterest management as a career option (through inspiring women like & ) something inside of me said “you can do this…and you’d be REALLY good at it”. ⁣
⁣
THAT is the voice I choose to tune into when I sit down at my desk each day. It is truer and louder and fiercer than any of my nagging doubts. And that’s what keeps me going forward. ⁣

When I start talking with business owners about their goals, I can feel that voice in me dancing around, giddy with the excitement of what we can do TOGETHER. And when they start to feel like their dreams are too outlandish, too unattainable, I tell them the same thing I tell myself every single day:⁣
