Help Desk Specialist
Carousel Checks prints secure financial documents for individuals, businesses and financial institutions, and is looking for a full time, help desk specialist to join our IT team.
The primary job responsibility for the Help Desk Specialist position is to provide technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Responds to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problems, and determines and implements solutions..
Job Duties
Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
Respond to queries either in person or over the phone.
Document issues and Resolutions
Train computer users.
Maintain daily performance of computer systems.
Respond to email messages for customers seeking help.
Ask questions to determine the nature of the problem.
Walk customers through the problem-solving process.
Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
Clean up computers.
Run diagnostic programs to resolve problems.
Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
Install computer peripherals for users.
Follow up with customers to ensure the issue has been resolved.
Gain feedback from customers about computer usage.
Run reports to determine malfunctions that continue to occur.
Assist and manage G-Suite and Office365
Support windows software (Quickbooks, Fedex Ship Manager, Door Access Controller, etc..)
Printer setup and maintenance Zebra/HP/Xerox
Monitor and audit systems
Job Requirements
BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent Bachelor’s degree preferred
Proven working experience in providing help desk support
Working knowledge of help desk software, databases and remote control
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Advanced troubleshooting and multi-tasking skills
Customer service orientation
Active Directory experience a plus
Basic Networking knowledge
Ability to work independently expected
Some Linux experience a plus
Windows Server Administration a plus
