Earlier this week, I led a personal branding training for 80 women from across the country for the Junior League—and it felt like the most full-circle moment.
I joined the Junior League 15 years ago, looking for community. When we moved to Annapolis, I credit my experience with the League for helping me pivot careers and build the work I do now.
Now here I am, leading an online training for incredible, multifaceted women like me on how to build personal brands. One of the questions hit me right in the heart, "How do I keep my professional lives separate? I was asked.
Y'all.... this is why i've been struggling! (more on that later!)
But, we as entrepreneurs and professionals...don't need to keep these roles, parts of our lives separate. I mean, we can if we choose, but we should not feel OBLIGATED to. We are allowed to be multifaceted in business and in life.
I hold many hats -- I'm a mom, a wife, a business owner, a community leader, a volunteer, and a candidate for public office.
We are allowed—as businesses, as humans —to show up authentically, to tell our stories, and to set boundaries about how we show up online.
I love teaching my clients—strategy clients, consulting clients, and even my retainer clients —how to show up authentically. How to grow their digital presences with boundaries. How to set goals that move their business forward that feel true to THEM.
If you’re trying to build a digital presence without pressure, perfectionism, or burnout...follow along. More to come.💙💙
