Attention gets you viewed, but building your brand authority, that's what gets you business.
I see too many people chasing attention-at-all costs. Putting out content that does nothing to build their brand up. Think of brand building as the buy-and-hold strategy in an investment portfolio. With a simple yet effective strategy, it compounds with time and consistency. Most people just give up before it has the chance to work.

Brand strategy = understanding who you are + what space you're trying to fill in your customer's mind (relative to the others in your space).
It's not a marketing function, but it deeeply impacts marketing (along with everything else).

Who can relate? I've definitely felt trapped in my brand before. I build differently now.
It's never too late to reinvent yourself, your business, or your brand. Sure, it's uncomfortable for a little while. And it takes time. But it's far better than staying stuck in a shape that no longer suits you.
