We looked at these keywords before and after the Infamous March Core Update. Check out what changed. Brie Moreau partnered on doing the study.

I made this tree chart showing the most important correlations, including "domain estimated traffic." Most of us look at that to judge the authority or trust of a webpage, and you can see that it matches with one page's ability to rank based on the site it's on.

The study identified the most important rank signal as using common words and phrases related to the main keyword. This has a huge impact on on-page signals, perhaps even bigger than how the KW appears in title and H tags.

In other words, Google is using NLP and wants to see that your page has the important topics or entities found on the other top-ranked pages. They match bigrams, trigrams, etc.; another way of thinking of this is that they are topics and entities.

My 4000+ word piece is live on Search Engine Journal: "260k Search Results Analyzed: Here’s How Google Evaluates Your Content [Data Study]." Surfer SEO was the data partner. Brie Moreau partnered with me on doing this challenging study.

Comprehensive topic coverage was the largest on-page factor. The correlation score was -.11 in December 2023, which increased to -.13 in April 2024. So, pages with higher "body missing common words and phrases" scores perform much worse! In fact, there was no other on-page factor that was more important.

Exact match title tags and headlines are super important, but they are also hard to measure for keywords with many words.

What You’ll Learn

· keyword research techniques using ahrefs and SEMrush.
· Research and implement SEO recommendations for website architecture. Technical SEO skills related to, for example, page load times, server caching, proper canonicalization for large websites, htaccess & robots.txt files, 3xx and 4xx HTTP response codes.

Requirements:
· Fluent English speaking and writing. If you are not native English, your technical skills will much more important.

· Minimum of intermediate skills with MS Excel and Word.
Not required, but useful:
· *WordPress or Shopify CMS experience!
· Eperience monetizing websites with affiliate marketing is a +1 for you.
· Experience in a client-facing role? +1.
· All “earned media” (organic) digital marketing experience, especially with an agency, +1 for you.

ClickStream owns and runs a large publisher website, all about psychological disorders. We did data research on what people really want to know about "panic disorders" and the results are live.
