Hot take: posting “copy & paste” ChatGPT captions isn’t saving your brand time… It’s costing you trust. 👀 The fastest way to lose trust on social media is to post generic, disconnected social media content. Your audience can feel when there’s no strategy, no voice, and no real intention behind your content.

AI should enhance your marketing, not replace thoughtful messaging or brand identity. If your captions don’t sound like you (or a human being in general), they won’t resonate, convert, or build the community you’re trying to grow.

Social media is about connection. Strategy wins. Lazy shortcuts don’t. 🎤

Don’t be a tool… know the difference 🌶️

Understanding the difference between Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, and Veterans Day allows your brand to honor our heroes thoughtfully and authentically. Planning your social media content with this distinction shows your audience that you truly value and respect our military’s sacrifices. Here’s a quick guide to help you craft meaningful posts for each occasion…

👉Armed Forces Day (3rd Saturday of May) was established to recognize the dedication and sacrifices of those currently serving in all branches of the U.S. military.

👉Memorial Day (last Monday of May) is a day for remembering and honoring military personnel who died during service to their country.

👉Veterans Day (November 11th) is the day set aside to thank and honor all who served honorably in the military; This includes all veterans, whether they served during wartime or peacetime, and regardless of whether they are living or deceased.

Note the difference and plan your social media posts appropriately. As GI Joe would say, “Now you know, and knowing is half the battle.” 💯

What you see on social media v. what happens behind the scenes to create the shot. recently joined me on a road trip to Adams County. While we were there we stopped at one of my favorite spots in Gettysburg, an adorable chocolate shop. I happened to look over and catch Brittany staging one of her famous shots and couldn’t resist taking some video. I had a good chuckle as I recorded because that is what people must see when I’m on site staging photos for my clients and their social media. A good social media manager knows how to stage photos, edit them to make them look good on social media (but not to the point where they look fake or unrealistic), how to write compelling captions to make people stop scrolling, how to attract new followers and convert them to customers, as well as track and utilize analytics… and that’s just scratching the surface. Business Owners - keep all of those things in mind when hiring a social media manager. Experience and industry knowledge are important!
