Sometimes, it’s what’s *not* on the menu that’s most exciting. Take this recent special from Gabi Restaurant: roasted quail with foie gras stuffing, vadouvan carrot puree, and cherry jus. Beets, but make it gnocchi. The geniuses at Bistrot La Minette don’t mess around with their vegetarian options. While some spots just toss together a salad, these guys are plating gems like this one: every inch as composed and thoughtful as the rest of the menu.
