Philly's Mural Arts program and local community leaders are deliberately putting local icons like Questlove, Black Thought, and Boyz II Men directly on public high school and neighborhood walls in West and South Philly.

The goal is to show students walking into school every day that world-class genius, Grammy wins, and Oscar-winning talent started in the exact same halls they're sitting in. No corporate ads, no random faces—just homegrown Black excellence as a daily reminder of what's possible.

Who needs to be on the next Philly mural?
