Community College of Philadelphia and Cheyney University have expanded their transfer partnership, allowing eligible CCP students to seamlessly continue to Cheyney after earning an associate degree. The initiative also includes scholarship opportunities, free laptops and course materials, career support, and no separate Cheyney application for eligible students. Students in select programs can even complete a Cheyney bachelor's degree while remaining in Philadelphia.

It started with a question — Richard Koilor asked his older brother Mengistu, "Why don't we try making some beer?" That joke turned into a home brewing hobby in 2016, and by 2018, the two West Philly natives had officially launched Two Locals Brewing Company as a nomadic brewery, brewing on other breweries' systems and selling at pop-ups.

In 2020, they teamed up with Harris Family Brewery for a "Black is Beautiful" collaboration beer, raising over $9,000 for Black Lives Matter.

On January 31, 2024, they opened their first permanent taproom at 3675 Market St. in University City — officially Pennsylvania's first Black-owned brewery. Nationally, over 93% of U.S. breweries are white-owned; the Koilor brothers built something the industry rarely makes room for. Known for their Nubian Brown Ale and Good Jawn Pale Ale, this is a Philly-built first, one pour at a time.
