A lot of us think hope means holding onto an idea of what we want the future to look like. But what if hope has less to do with what’s ahead and more to do with finding peace in what’s right in front of us?

Hope starts with faith.

When we asked Seak Smith, founder of Bad Ass Do Gooders, what hope means to her, she shared something simple but powerful:

"If you really want to understand hope, you first have to dig deep into your faith. Faith can look different for everyone, but without faith, there can't be hope."

No matter what your faith is in, whether it's a higher power, your purpose, your community, or simply the belief that tomorrow can be better, hope begins with believing in something beyond your current circumstances.
