The current contents of PaulBartonABC.com were posted by an imposter. I took down that website in April and abandoned the URL.

I'm working with the hosting copmpany to get my logo and other copyrighted material taken down.

Why would someone masquerade as me? I guess because I had built up good SEO with that website. They are free, of course, to use the URL, but they are not free to use my logo, my name, and one of my blog posts and claim it as their own.

And they are not free to associate me with the crap they are selling and harm my reputation.

Streaming giant Netflix has told its employees to leave the company if they’re offended by the content the company is producing. The directive appeared in a company memo.

Crisis Communication Tip: When crafting crisis messaging, ask this question: What actions are we taking?

It’s always better to talk about what you ARE doing than what you’re not. “Clean-up efforts are underway…” “Grief counselors are on the scene…” “A hotline has been set up…”

This is one of 3 key questions to ask to determine crisis messaging. Discover the other two, and much more, in our Crash Course in Crisis Communication.
