Did not expect this
Today, we release our eighth and final album, Something More. Yes, you read that right. After 18 years together, and with the crowning achievement of a record we are incredibly proud of, following our upcoming tour we are stepping away from Fruition as we’ve known it.
When we began recording this record with Tucker Martine in 2024, we honestly had no idea it would become our likely swan song. Almost ironically—but perhaps fittingly—Something More is an album deeply connected with growth, change, release, and the uncertainty of what comes next. Ideas that now carry an unexpected sense of finality.
We are so proud of this record, and so grateful to Bloodshot Records (we love you all) for believing in it and helping us give this album its best shot at reaching as many ears as possible.
The hardest part is that we feel more connected musically than we ever have. But after nearly 20 years of touring, we’ve had to take an honest look at what it takes to sustain this band. Nearly every cost of being on the road—from fuel and flights to food and lodging—has gone up, while guarantees have remained largely static. At some point, we had to take a critical look at how we were doing things and admit that we couldn’t continue touring this way.
So, while we’re not saying goodbye today, we are saying that our upcoming dates through January 2027 will be our final run of shows. We want to make the most of the time we have left together, to celebrate what Fruition has been and what this music has meant to us—and hopefully to you. Along with our already announced dates, the following final dates are on sale today, August 28 at 10am local time:
Jan 16 - Ogden Theatre - Denver, CO
Jan 17 - Meow Wolf - Santa Fe, NM
Jan 19 - The Rebel Lounge - Phoenix, AZ
Jan 20 - Troubadour - Los Angeles, CA
Jan 22 - The Chapel - San Francisco, CA
Jan 23 - Felton Music Hall - Felton, CA
Jan 24 - Harlow’s - Sacramento, CA
Jan 27 - Volcanic Theatre Pub - Bend, OR
Jan 28 - Crystal Ballroom - Portland, OR
Jan 29 - Neptune Theatre - Seattle, WA
We still have a lot of music to play, a lot of miles to travel, and a lot of love to share. We hope you’ll be part of this final chapter with us.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for 18 years of listening, showing up, singing along, and making this life possible. We couldn’t have done any of it without you.
With love,
Fruition
Kellen, Jay, Mimi, Tyler and Jeff
