Friends, last year Grand Slam transportation began a program (Giving Drive) to help the homeless community in Fort
Worth, Tx. We were able to provide warm clothing and general hygienic
products to nearly 200. This year we are collecting items that will be
delivered to two organizations in Houston. We will also do something in
with a group in Pittsburgh if we receive enough to meet our goals in
Houston. We are going to target Homeless Veterans and an organization that
help underprivileged children. I am asking you to do whatever you can to
help us in our efforts. Any type of warm clothing from socks and gloves to
sweatshirts and jackets, as well as any hygienic products would be great.
As a suggestion, many dollar stores and outlet stores sell many of these
items in bulk at very reasonable prices. I would truly appreciate anything
that you can do to help us in our efforts to help others in need. I would
hope to collect as much as we can by Thanksgiving so that we can transport
it down to Texas. Thanks in advance for any help that you can give.
