Plainfield Spotlight

09/14/2026

Hey everyone, Kevin here.

Some of you noticed I went quiet for a while. Short version: I had a life threatening health event, and it knocked me off my feet longer than I wanted. I'm okay now, and I'm grateful to be typing this at all.

It put a lot in perspective. It also meant some of you never got the follow up I promised. If that's you, message me. I'm catching up.

So, reintroduction.

I'm Kevin, I live here in Plainfield and I run Plainfield Spotlight. We mail one clean postcard to 5,000+ homeowners, and we only put one business per category on it. One roofer. One dentist. If you're on the card, your competitor isn't. No coupon envelope stuffed with 30 other businesses, no contract, pay per run.

Right now we mail Plainfield, NE Plainfield, Oswego, Yorkville, Joliet, and South Naperville. There's also Lakelands Elite, a smaller premium card that reaches about 600 of the highest income homes around here with only 6 spots on the whole thing.

The next print is filling in and most categories are still open. If you want to see the actual card and what's left in your category, comment SPOTLIGHT and I'll send it over.

But honestly, mostly I just wanted to say hi.

So tell me what I missed. New restaurant I need to try? Something happen at a village meeting? Did somebody finally fix the lights on 143rd?

Good to be back.

💜 One of our favorite traditions is back!

Each year, Emediate Cure is proud to give back to the local schools and student athletes who mean so much to our communities.

Throughout August, when your child receives a school or sports physical at any Emediate Cure location, you can enter the school of your choice for a chance to receive a $500 Athletic Department Scholarship! 🏈🏀⚽️

It’s our way of helping kids start the school year healthy while giving a little something back to the programs that support them all year long. 💙💜

SPOTLIGHT SATURDAY

Two ways to play this one.

BUSINESS OWNERS: Tag yourself. Name and what you do in one sentence. That's all I need.

EVERYONE ELSE: Tag a local business you'd actually recommend. The plumber who showed up same day. The salon you drive past three closer ones to get to. The place that fixed something and didn't try to sell you four things you didn't need.

Plainfield, Oswego, Yorkville, Joliet, Naperville, all fair game.

I'm reading every comment this weekend and featuring a few on my page next week. Free, no catch, no strings.

The best marketing in this town has always been a neighbor saying "call this guy." Let's just do it out loud for once.
