September 15 marks Independence Day for five Central American countries: Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua.

For so many in our comunidad, these countries are more than places on a map. They’re home, family, traditions, food, stories, music, memories, and the pieces of our culture we continue carrying with us wherever we go.

As we begin Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the beautiful diversity that exists within our Latino community and honoring the histories that brought us here.

Get ready for costumes, candy and a free evening of community fun to take over City Center! 🎃

Trick or Treat at City Center, presented by Suncoast Credit Union, returns from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30, at the City Center Front Green.

Families can follow the Pumpkin Trail through creative displays hosted by local organizations, dance with DJ Devon in the Monster Mash Pit, contribute to a community mural and capture memories at festive photo spots.

To my real ones who notice when things suddenly disappear, get flagged, or vanish from this page… let’s pull back the curtain just a fraction.

In real life, peace comes with a tax when shadows from the prehistoric past refuse to move on.

There is a very specific circle of lingering leeches who clock in every single week just to hit report the second they see my face.

Desperation has an unmistakable scent, especially when someone is left staring at a life, a man, and a quiet luxury they will never touch.

But here’s the secret I’ve never told you: nothing ever actually gets lost.

When doors get knocked on here, far bigger rooms open elsewhere.

Far away from this decoy, behind total anonymity, entire empires move in silence. Untouchable numbers. Relentless momentum.

And every trace of absurdity left on my doorstep over the years? Well… let’s just say it was repurposed into gold somewhere they will never, ever find.

You thought you were burying me. You were just feeding the algorithm.

As for where those stories live now? Shhh. 🤫

✨ PAINT PARTY PARLAY FOR MADDIE ✨🎨🏴‍☠️

Calling all creators, friends, and kind hearts!
Maddie is a sweet, brave little girl in Kansas battling terminal cancer, and her wish is to build a vibrant painted rock garden filled with love from all over. 💛

I’ve painted and placed stones under birthday trees, beside docks, on sandy beaches, and tucked into gardens everywhere—now it’s time to rally our crew and make something truly special for Maddie.

TWO WAYS TO JOIN:
In Person: Come over to the studio space and paint! I have all the stones, paints, and brushes set up for you. All you need to cover is your stone’s small shipping cost.

On Zoom: Grab your favorite paints at home and hop on the live video link so we can chat and paint together from anywhere!
