In the modern business landscape, sales and content are two of the most critical elements that drive success. But far too often, they are treated as separate entities with sales teams focused on closing deals, while marketing or content creators generate blogs, social media posts, and presentations....

Some tips:)

Creating content is an art that can transform your business from obscurity to recognition. Whether you’re crafting blog posts, social media updates, or newsletters, quality content is crucial in building your brand and engaging your audience. If you're ready to take your content from novice to pro...

True story. A contact of mine hired someone to write their blog and social media, and asked me to take a look. Blatant truth: it would have been funny if it wasn't so sad! The content was very flat and devoid of emotion, while my contact is a highly enthusiastic and emotional individual. The content...

"I can do it myself" says many a small child as they try to do things like eating with a fork or spoon, get themselves dressed, or tie their shoelaces. If you've ever seen the outcomes from their attempts, you probably have a smile on your face right now. The fact is that's how they learn

Yesterday I spoke with someone that told me it took about 3-4 hours to write their 250-300 word blog. Mind you, this was the writing portion and didn't include any sort of research that needed to be done beforehand.

They mentioned that they "hated" doing it and found it stressful and annoying.

Now I ask you, why in the world would anyone put themselves in that situation if there was an alternative?

And yes, there is an alternative, if not Wordsworkcopywriting, then another content development company.

Don't do the things that you don't have time to do, hate to do and can be done by another resource.

Outsource and get back the time for other mission-critical endeavors.

Excuse me if I sound a bit snarky here but haven’t we seen one too many Covid related articles? No, I don’t mean the scientific reports that appear in the media or updates on where we stand in terms of the spread of the virus. I mean the plethora of articles and posts that are using the pandemic...

When my adult sons were little they used to watch Sesame Street & “I Can Do It Myself” was one of their favorite songs. It became somewhat of a household favorite & we sang along as I taught them to be be able to do most of the things we take for granted, getting dressed being one of them.

Within a short amount of time they could, in fact, do it by themselves.

I could do the same with my bookkeeping & auto repair. With a little patient tutelage & a good song to keep me focused, I could probably grasp the skills and attend to my own books and fix my car too.

But I don’t.

My time is pretty much filled with running my cos & doing the things that I love to do; car repair & bookkeeping are not high on my list.

And for these reasons I choose to outsource both.

How about you? Are you singing “I Can Do It Myself” each & every time you need to write some content, even though there are scores of things you’d much rather be doing and are, frankly, more mission critical than the blog post that needs to be written.

Why not leave the writing to someone else?

For content developers everywhere:

C is for how crazy I get when all of my deadlines are fast approaching

O is for the opportunities that seem to just appear out of nowhere

N is for networking my heart out only to find 25 writers in every group

T is for the thievishness I sense from a prospect that told me he could find someone to write his articles for $20 each

E is for how eager I am when I sense that a prospect is serious and I have the competencies to fulfill their needs

N is for my overwhelmingly positive attitude even when someone tells me about a potential client project that has disaster written all over it

T is for the thanks I give each and every day for having the opportunity to write for clients that I have grown to admire and respect and who feel the same about me.

Yeah—it’s all about content in the new roaring 20’s.

Hope I get to write for you:)

Don’t Worry, You’ve Got This

Don’t worry, you’ve got this. Those are some fine words, aren’t they? Sometimes when I feel insecure or nervous, when I’ve got to stretch myself or try something new or go for that medical procedure that is just freaking me out, a simple “you’ve got this” can make a lot of difference.

But really what does it mean? Simply, it means that someone has confidence in you and wants you to feel strong and confident. That’s great, but in some situations that may not be enough. Sometimes it takes more than someone saying, “you’ve got this” in order to succeed.

So consider this for your content development:

Why not give Wordswork Copywriting the opportunity to review a few of your blog posts or even the titles and subjects you are considering for 2020? Tell us about your content strategy and we’ll give you honest feedback and yes, if you’ve got this, you’re good to go.

But, if by chance there’s more work to be done then we’ll tell you that too. Honest and unbiased feedback and some recommendations too. How does that sound?
I hope you’ve got this but, if not, we can help.

Can you be good at sales if you're soft?

When you come across the phrase the art of the soft sell, you might focus your attention on the word “soft.” You might not even do this consciously; many salespeople don’t.
