Politician, advocate, and author Andru Volinsky has recently been in the news for his ideas about income tax in New Hampshire. His plan to implement a statewide income tax to pay for school funding sparked controversy with opposition.

An article from People Magazine reads, “New Hampshire prides itself on being one of nine U.S. states with no individual income tax. To offset that, the state has higher-than-normal property taxes, which Volinsky told local news outlet WBUR has led to working and middle-class people ‘struggling beyond belief.’”

“‘It's an effort to shut me up,’ Volinsky said of the apparent threat.”
